Reckon we could get a centre better than Bamba with one of those pics

doesn't matter who we like....the FO is punting those picks

exactly. who really thinks they use those 2nd rounders.

yep, it's kind of infuriating but it's what they do...but man....i really want trevion williams in the second round

I liked Herbert Jones with our 2nd last year. 5th year senior, SEC Player of year and DPOY. the kind of guy who will do all the gritty, dirty work and not complain. we definitely could use his work ethic and defense

I would like to draft one of those versatile wings: Braun, Christie, Hall, Houstan, Champagnie.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

You mean our 2 high SRP are gonna be traded for cash considerations again?

I hope we at least use 1 for a big man. Like Kessler?
Hunter?
Mark Williams but I think he is a FRP..
heck maybe the stashe-man Timme so at least our bench big will have an offensive threat

Ivey looks like this year's version of Scottie Barnes.

Lots of stuff that make you say "wow".

Lots of stuff that makes you say "not ready"

Barnes made out OK.

There's legitimate questions about Banchero's defensive upside (and his 3PT shot although I'm less concerned about that), but the more I watch him the more impressed I am with his ability and willingness to pass.

He's just not really as much of a shameless selfish gunner as he was earlier in the year.

If his 3PT shot does uptick, he's going to be a devastating offensive player.

I’ve been very impressed by Banchero’s maturity down the stretch against some serious length. Didn’t press, moved the ball around, made shots when needed, and played solid defense on a few plays.

Agreed. It feels like it has become a point of emphasis by him. He has had a good crunch time game for Duke tonight.

As far as fit goes, Johnny Davis would have to be number 1 on our board. He looks legit.

Banchero finishes with 20 PTS, 12 REB, 7 AST on 6-11 FG.

Inexplicably he did not officially attempt a field goal (had some FT attempts) from 5:42 to go in the 1st half until 4:13 to go in the 2nd half.

Unfortunately yeah

I mean I'd personally love for us to use those picks on say Johnny Juzang and a center (or a euro stash?) Buy as long as weham are here, I'll never actually expect us to keep our 2nd rounders, cause as we all know, after the top 10, the draft flattens out, right?

Yeah I wonder about that. I really think its the FO decision to not use the 2nd rounders rather than WeHam. They rather use the spot and money kn signing those Michigan GLeaguers...

Earlier in the season, you were wondering what was going to be the legitimate difference between Paolo and say someone like Toppin as a one-way player with mediocre efficiency and a tweener body. But to be fair to Banchero, he's being more selective, his passing looks decent enough and he does try on D. I'm not sure in my book it justifies a top 3 or 4 pick, but there are green shoots.
