Last year the 15th ranked team by # point percentage was Cleveland at 36.7%, who are shooting an absurd 41.5% so far this year. Both Orlando and Cleveleand are going to regress to the mean. If Orlando just shoots league average from 3 on league average volume this team is going to be a bear for any team when Paolo gets back. He looked all nba-ish. Franz ain't looking that far off either.. Everyone else is in a shooting slump.

To be honest i have kind of liked the way the offense has looked with Franz. Paolo was just otherworldy early. They both look like they are leveling up and MIP candidates.

I think one of the key things to look for this season is how do we maximize both Franz and Paolo's offense while on the court together. i am all for staggering the minutes too.

We just need to get and stay healthy, and ffs make some shots.

I'd like to see what Goga looks like next to this version of Paolo at some point this year. Carter isn't going anywhere but i think we need to figure out much defense the starting line up can get away with at center, whether it's Goga or a guy down the road.

Maybe the answer is to take some shots away from all the guys going 0-fer. Lots of teams with all-stars have rotation players that don't shoot much if at all. Everyone's paid, so who cares this year?

It makes the offense a little less fluid and it might ding their efficiency, but the results might improve overall. I don't know, maybe the defense loads up too much that way.

who would've thought... moves to a team where playmaking & PG skills are at an all time low.

I can't simplify it to that .... He's gotten a lot of great looks on the court.... Nothing too drastic. Hoping that he just has to settle in and get out of his head. It could be a lot of things.

When we are in the right mindset during these last couple games .... The ball moves and Moves well.

All I know is that I watch a lot of other teams every night and I see crazy contested 3’s go in all the time… yet we can’t even make open 3’s. It’s a damn shame.

Something in the water in Orlando or something?

I bet if we had prime Stephen Curry his 3pt% would drop to 30% in his Magic tenure.

The Tyus Jones Truthers in shambles…..

And the wide open shot creation % will only rise when we get Paolo back as we have seen him getting double teamed as soon as he recieves the ball.

If everything stays the same man we need a bucket getter off the bench..... It can't be just moe Wagner, we need another legitimate bucket getter.... Preferably NOT someone that will come here and suddenly forget how to do what they do best.....

Orlando is top 5 in open 3pointers in the league (for a reason ) . He got tons of good looks, he just doesn't hit anything.

Return to Orlando Magic
