Lavine would be perfect and he has turned himself into an average defender from what I've seen. He is so much better than Simons, but I just do not know how that salary would work unless they found a way to unload Isaac and Caldwell-Pope. I would do that if it were possible BTW, but I don't think they would.
They just aren't going to add another max contract.

Meh. If we trade JI, Cole, and Gary plus a 1st or 2, we actually save 2 mil this season.

Last 5 games our average defensive rating is 118.2. That's wild

Im over this damm team not being able to score the ball. Im over that we are trending at a potentially worst 3pt season in history of the league. Im over Weltman doing absolutely nothing to bring in 3pt shooting and scoring.

The team only shot 25 threes, 5 less than any team is averaging this year, so there shouldn't be much to complain about! We just have no consistent players on offensive right now and our defense looks worse.
Oh yeah good point, I guess I should actually pay attention to his posts

Nah, you should pay more attention to the team, how it's playing, and why that is.

Absolutely nothing that's happening on that court is surprising.

How many more "just one game's" do you have in you?

I agree. I think since his contract is short term at this point it's a little different, but yeah I agree. I'm mostly just saying Lavine would be a really good fit.

LaVine would be an amazing fit for you all, but yeah, the contract would be an issue. You don't want him at a rental, but if he keeps playing like he is this year into next year, he's going to decline that PO and expect even more money... Tough fit financially, but amazing fit talent wise.

Franz was good enough tonight that he probably could have come back a week or more ago. Sucks for him they held him out long enough that he can’t qualify for any awards.

Simons looked good too

This is the first one where I feel like factors under our control dictated the outcome more than factors outside of our control. Turnovers and poor execution did us in tonight all the other factors we’ve been talking about are relevant.

I was streaming the Orlando feed and saw this one live, announcers said they thought Williams got a piece of it even though he was like 4-6ft away...

Mose fired some shots at our bigs when a reporter asked if we missed Goga as much as the numbers indicates. He said something along the lines of 'we miss his physical presence, being able to hit guys, presence around the rim'... IMO he might as well have said WCJ is

Also, I think the first few games set unrealistic expectations for Paolo. Some mod on here was throwing around benchmarks of 60+ TS & 30+ USG for him, all willy-nilly, when Luka has barely done that in 2 out of 7 seasons, and Tatum barely 2 out of 8 seasons. And I hate to say but Paolo is clearly not on that level offensively.

AB was 12-3-5 with a steal and great defense overall. Good night for the young man.
