They don't have any draft picks to trade, so what would something like that that even be?

I would imagine Paolo, Franz, Bane and Suggs are all pretty much off the table at this moment.

This road trip, especially if we keep getting blown out and aren't competitive.

I bet he’s panicking at the idea of paying Isaac and WCJ a combined $33M next season. I could see both of them getting shopped even if the team improves.

The NBA is scrambling to replace us on those few National tv games.

Paolo finishes with a 51 TS% after the hot start

AB -28

Franz can't defend anymore

No center

Bane has been maybe our worst non center all year.

Tyus still playing for some reason.

Fun stuff.

Seriously, if we completely benched Bane and went with Suggs/AB/Franz/Paolo/WCJ there would be ZERO excuse for a defensive dropoff. This is on the coaching staff.

I don’t know it is difficult from the outside to know what’s going on internally. You need that knowledge to make a decision on Mosely. We just don’t have access to the level of intel Weltman has so it’s so difficult to accurately predict Mose’s future.

I assume there’s some tension there. I suspect that Weltman has been talking to Paolo and Franz, maybe Bane, seeing how they're feeling.

Is he at the point of reaching out to other coach agents? I doubt it. The front office is usually slow as molasses.

I would certainly be inquiring with a few agents about availability. I’d want to see some cohesive play on both ends by the time we get back to Orlando. If we lose that first home game I feel like I’d let him go if I was Weltman. Don’t want to waste a potentially weak eastern conference.

Trading Jase or Penda or Tristan or something, potentially Goga, Suggs would be the only one realistic to trade although they would be killed for that, rightly

Jett and Tyus are expiring, but I don't think we want to bring any salary back.

Lol teams sometimes simply play bad with no problems, same as dysfunctional ass teams like the Kobe/Shaq Lakers winning despite tension/fighting.

Suggs still our best shooter... How???

Bane is shooting 27% from deep on 5.1 attempts per game. Both numbers WELL below what we were promised. The attempts issue is 100% a Mosley problem.

That’s the most sickening part. We have no assets to trade. Only thing they can do to improve is try to take on salary and we know that’s not happening. We’re in purgatory for 2-4 years.

Why do you say that? I think something is going on.

Not sure what it is, but something seem different between them.

I had a feeling it might be like this. We just gave up too much guard defense.

I mean they're very obviously going to fire Mosley and give a more proven coach the opportunity to right this ship if things continue to go this poorly.

I'm not ready to say purgatory at all yet.

The team started losing its defensive identity last season, and we chalked it up to injury disruption. Even then we had Mike Miller and Paolo’s mum having words with Weltman on the sidelines complaining about the complete lack of offense.

Weltman added shooting and playmaking this summer, but Mosley doesn’t look like he knows how to make the pieces fit and gel or stay focused on both ends. It just seems like no matter who Mosley has, he doesn’t know how to get them to operate with intention on offense at a consistent enough level for a team that wants to contend.

That's nonsense. Stop trying to defend your illogical post.

I only wrote the one in response to yours. Your reply makes no sense.

Yeah, there is just way too much talent on this team. For goodness sake thr Magic replaced the corpse of Corey Joseph with Desmond Bane. And for some reason the defense looks INFINITELY worse. Like worst defense in the NBA bad.

This is more of an indictment of the scheme changes that have been implemented.
