This guy is realistic. I agree wholeheartedly with his post

Raja Bell at this point isn't exactly a defensive stud anymore. And Memo, does this guy even play basketball anymore?

I don't think we're making any trades. This our team going into the playoffs so lets stop being so damn negative and get behind them.

The panic button was pressed along time ago. I'm at the point in the stages of denial where I grab my brandy sit down for a last smoke and just chill as the ship sinks.

I got your joke. I'm just superstitious and immediately needed to post something to get my post count to 912.

Orlando does not have the assets to acquire a player of Williams' caliber via trade, and the long-term deals of Turkoglu and Gilbert Arenas make signing a star free agent--like Williams or Chris Paul--in 2012 extremely unlikely, barring a swift, stunning, and drastic roster overhaul.

oh dear...

Orlando Magic front office surprised by Deron Williams trade
Dwight Howard reacted to the NBA's latest blockbuster trade just like everybody else.

He expressed shock.

Around noon on Wednesday, Howard was told by a reporter that the Utah Jazz had sent Deron Williams to the New Jersey Nets.

"Deron Williams?" Howard asked. "From Utah?"...

Yep.

..."That trade surprised everyone, including Deron Williams," said Magic President of Basketball Operations Otis Smith.

Asked if he had made an offer for Williams, Smith said he hadn't.

Of course, it's unclear if Orlando would have made an offer the Jazz would have liked more than the Nets' offer. Also, a trade for Williams would have been risky because Williams, who can become a free agent after the 2011-12 season, isn't eligible to sign an extension until this upcoming summer...

...Magic President Alex Martins said the franchise is "happy" with its current roster.

Smith said he didn't see a deal on the horizon for the Magic

I don't think we have any shot at getting under the cap to get Dwight some help. It's going to have to be via trade and the pickings are slim. We have to convince Dwight that he can win the whole thing himself with some good players around him. (JRICH, Jameer, TUrk, Bass, Ryno)

We also need to start the Arenas is a drug dealer rumor. We got Brian Hill canned. Can we get Arenas thrown in jail and his contract voided?

that is unbelievable. he never made a call to utah about deron... thats your job. to call people and ask about players that can help your ball club and he can't even do that.

Who wants to start the FireOtisSmith.com site?
