D12 made it clear he has no desire to return to Magic. So he saw no need to discuss the team's future -- or the new coach.

This is important.

Was going to post that too. Only important thing for me. Why would Henny go there with no ideas and no plan? Makes no sense. Not even mentioning who would be the HC? Seems highly implausible given the circumstances.

Trading him will create more cap space then letting him walk, because we'd have 1 or 2 of our bad contracts being shipped out with him.

If Orlando opens up the Dwight Howard bidding at capspace and a 1st round pick, like 15 teams jump in the mix.

Really? Minus the Brooklyn offer, most reports claim that we would be able to rid ourselves of excess contracts in the process of moving Dwight. So these rumored deals would offer more cap space than just letting him walk.

-To follow up on the meeting, I heard that it began quiet and docile enough. But at one point during Henn's "campaign speech", Howard began rolling his eyes thru his sunglasses...he was very angry and upset, and turned into a volcano smoking-into an actual eruption. The guy was actually yelling at Hennigan in front of others..

-He laid into the GM over a few things, told him he hadn't done what was "agreed upon"(dunno for sure what that means), lambasted him for "twidling his thumbs", etc..I'mtold Dwight was about as serious as he can get, and he almost never shows this side of him. All anyone really ever gets to see is the jovial, happy Howard. Not this time around. He's tired of this.

-Once again he said "heck no" to a Houston trade, telling Henn it'd be a "massive waste of everyone's time period"..he under NO circumstances will stay with them, "no ifs ands or buts"...

-He then practically demanded to be traded to the Lakers, telling Henn the GM already had "lied to his face" by not sending him to Brooklyn. He made this totally clear in so many words.

I'm glad to be able to connect some of the dots about the conversation, it did happen..these things WERE said during it. I can unequivocally just about guarantee this. I'm also happy that, like I said earlier, other more reputable guys, ones from the media, can confirm that this stuff happen as well. It only further backs my tidbits up.

This is virtually fullproof info guys. I wouldn't lie or try and trick any of you. Orlando management is now upset that Henn, who's idea this was to come out here for this face to face with Howard, didn't have the foresight to see that this was just a huge waste of time. Not good at all."

There is no way you want this guy back in a Magic uniform, its not fair to the team, the new coach or the fans, he will be a cancer.

I dont think there is a real chance he goes to dallas, that has to be a bluff to make sure he gers his desired location and Im sure both the magic and the rockets know this, though Im sure houston will try to use this as levrage.

I cant imagine that after getting traded to the rockets, dwight will leave another team, or that his agent will let him pass on a lot of money after just having a serious injury that could come back and cost him all that guarnteed money.

Whatever we do, keep Davis. I'll root hard for him, Jameer, JJ, and the rooks.

He loves Mark Cuban. They have the best chance of signing him as a free agent next summer, no doubt.

Nothing new with Dwight except with the I will never re-sign with Orlando part. But between how much he vacillates between d ick in the summer to team guy in the season and the offers sucking, I don't mind still trying to get him to re-sign for the only bird rights max deal he'll get next summer.

On the other hand, I'm ok with just TOR pick and Lamb too. It still has the best single draft pick and a very early rookie scaled player with potential. And a similar 1-2 combo of young player like Stephen Curry (pending medical review) and 1 pick unprotected plus picks protected works, and we can move on a la OKC model.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins

The meeting ended with handshakes. There was no yelling. But Dwight expressed frustration that he hasn't been traded yet.

Funny how Robbins gets his info from Magic camp and they went out of their way to say there was no yelling.

I really dont care what he does after he is gone, the thing is how do the other teams feel, when it comes to trading they will act like they are worried to get the best deal for themselves

#Orlando #Magic officials are declining all comment about today's meeting.

So does that mean that all the info from the meeting is coming from Dwight's camp?

Odd because then he says he heard there was no yelling. I didn't think Robbins used random sources.

All the info that is ever leaked seems to come from Dwights camp, IMO

Return to Orlando Magic
