https://nbaanalysis.net/austin-rivers-says-orlando-magic-form-without-paolo-banchero-is-a-sign-he-has-to-change-his-game/

Yup! This is my outlook.

“Paolo has gotta look at the Magic and go, ‘Man, these guys are playing really well without me. What way can I come back and continue to be Paolo Banchero, but allow these guys to hoop?

“He is a star. This is a guy who averaged 30 in the playoffs against the Celtics. There are things that Paolo can look at… It’s a problem that can be easily fixed.

Fortune Teller wrote:We’re seeing contract year Jett right now, and since we never saw it before that’s concerning. I just don’t know how hungry this guy is. The non-extension woke him up a bit, but is that permanent? I’d trade him rather than let him walk.

I'd say that actually getting in to games is the bigger factor...he's a goner, he can make shots - but this is no revelation. Hopefully, we can get something for him, but if not...oh well, best wishes. Sorry we parked you in the Garbage league when we could have been playing you 5-8 mins per while we weren't thinking about contending. Generally, that's not how lottery picks are handled. :nonono:

Not saying "coulda woulda he'd be an All-Star now" at all - just saying his recent garbage time flashes are nothing to even think about. There isn't a player in the NBA who's not capable of occasional bursts, given the right conditions & opportunities. Doesn't make them everyday rotation players. Everybody was a star before they got here. No hard feelings.

Penda just posted a photo on IG of the University of Michigan's practice floor. I bet a lot of the players are going to the Michigan - Ohio State game at noon. That'll be a big introduction to American football for Penda.

It would be cool if the whole team go to the game . After all, Franz, Moe, and Jett went to school there. Suggs had a scholarship to Ohio State, and I think one of Paolo’s high school teammates plays at Ohio state.

Franz and Moe could probably get special access.

Have anybody tried to buy cup game tickets using the Fanduel promo? I tired for 10 minutes to get tickets and it kept saying "please select seats to leave adjacent seating". Even if I was selecting 1 it said the same thing. I don't get it. If anyone used the code, please let me know how to do it. The seats I wanted went fast...bummer.

There was a whole thing earlier this year based on Paolo standing like, a step or two away from the huddle during a timeout.

It was very silly.

I don't think many from the 2023 draft get extensions and instead the majority hit RFA. Wemby and Amen for sure... who else?

AB? Keyonte? Ausar? Podz? Jaime?

Kobe Bufkin
Dariq Whitehead
Olivier-Maxence Prosper

I'm hoping AB signs for around $15m per season. Both Suggs and Bane historically have missed a lot of games.

Draft was not very good after Wemby/Amen, but Jaime, AB and Keyonte playing well this year is helping it a bit.

I think all of those guys probably get extended. I don't know, if the Jazz get an elite PG prospect maybe not Keyonte if he is looking like he will get a lot of money. He is still really unbelievably bad on defense, not sure it's a given he doesn't settle into a microwave role.

Have to assume Scoot and Brandon Miller also get extended. Think they've shown too much to give up on.

Coulibaly is maybe the most interesting to me. Not sure what the Wizards will do, but wouldn't be surprised if he goes on to be a really good defensive wing.

I think with how bad RFA was for the players this year you will see some guys sign for bargains to avoid it so that could also be at play and grant them a little longer of a leash with their team.

That's a good call on players calculating the downside of RFA into their negotiations. Could see better deals on extensions as a result.
