Dwight's the best player we have ever been fortunate enough to have on this team in our franchise's history (skill, talent, production, length of time, one game win in the finals). But he is one of the most disappointing in terms of mental toughness, leadership, and authenticity.
And yet, all of those things can be learned.
He has the skills down, I just hope management surround Howard with the people that will nurture his mental toughness, leadership and authenticity. I think sometimes we forget that he is 26 years old. And I know a lot of people are ready to let him go to another team and let someone else deal with it, but I really hope he allowed Orlando to take on that challenge.
I remember Otis said something that probably got me thinking why Dwight is the way he is, Otis said that he got rid of people who had a stronger personality than Dwight because he wanted him to be the leader, that's why he traded Hill and Bogans. Maybe someone can find the article or video of it, but I do remember that and quit honestly, that might have been our downfall. Dwight seems like the type of person that needs to be paired up with a dominate personality, because I think he'll respond more to that.

Go Magic, Go Dwight, Go Vuc, Go Paolo, Go Keegan
