How does Devos and the Magic organization even sleep at night? Are they complete idiots.

I am glad I am a Heat fan also. Because, at least that is a class organization all their players are loyal.

It really irks me that ALL of the picks are protected. Okay, Philly and DEN didn't get Dwight so it's understandable, but ALL THE PICKS are protected? And the whole "turns into two second round picks in 2018" is hogwash. It's almost like we were FORCED to trade Dwight, had no say in the talks and the Lakers said "You will give us Dwight and here's what you're getting in return. Enjoy."

Unbelievable. Disgusted. I've invested too much into this team to deserve this kind of betrayal. March 12th, 2013 people. It's going to get ugly.

Vuc can play Center.

Future lineup

PG:?
SG: Affalo
SF: Harkless
PF: Nicholson
C: Vucevic

imo Vuc can only play Center at his size 7" 260
i think Vuc can play center at even 240. also Vuc isnt exactly a 7 footer. hes 6 foot 11 and 3/4s but IMO thats still big enough to play Center

I just want to hear the official terms of the deal.

Then we start cheering for these things:

1) Dwight never fully recovers from his back injury.

2) Harkless becomes the real MKG

3) Nicholson turns into an all star

Heart and Hustle 2.0...but finally some basketball!

Ken Berger @KBergCBS
(cont.) the 2014 first from Denver is the least favorable between DEN and NYK picks.

WHAT???? I thought we got whatever one is better!!!!

The trade is something to leave us longing for more, but if our young guys can pan out this could be a decent trade.

Harkless, Nicholson, Nikolai Voluces (spelling) they all have one common denominator.

The people that drafted them are people who KNOW how to draft.

76ers Nuggets draft pretty solid prospects, and let's throw Hennigan a bone if OKC/BOS were looking at Nicholson

So maybe not the dream trade we wanted, but we got some potential to work with. Afflalo and Harrington are decent role players (although not a fan of Harrington) partnered with Meer and BBD, is a foundation worth shooting for. The picks will pay off in their own way, somehow, maybe not in immediate future but to have those picks in the long run could prove fruitful (lottery or not)

Years past, we sold all our 1st rounders and look how much of a hole that put this team (prospect wise) now we use the flexibility of our cap space and those future picks to get a little tricky.

BUT, a lot of things have to go right for us...

*Crossing fingers*

30% usage at center and 1% at PF. He IS a center, no doubt about it.

Lol. Philly's pick could eventually become a second rounder and the Lakers second round pick is protected 31-40. In other words, if they suck, they still get their second round pick. At the very least, we should have gotten unprotected picks. That's just bad.

Jameer/????/????/Hedo
Afflalo/JJ/Eyenga
Harkless/Q-Rich/Hedo
Harrington/BBD/Nicholson(some call him a SF, he says he's not)/McRoberts
Vucevic/Ayon/O'Quinn

picks: '14 first and '14 second from Denver; conditional future first (2017?) and conditional 2015 second from Lakers; first from Philly that is lottery-protected in '13-'14, top-11 protected in '15, top-8 protected in '16, If the Magic don't get Philly's first by 2016, it becomes two second-round picks, as previously reported

Take a deep breath. They probably aren't done dealing yet. I doubt we go into next season with one pg.

Cavs def belong on this list. They seriously ONLY have Kyrie to score the ball. They loss a bunch of points when Jamison left & I just can't see them replacing those points.

I def forgot the Raptors. I would bump the Magic out of the top 5 & put the Raptors in.

Suns
Cats
Pistons
Cavs
Raptors
Magic

vucevic is plenty big enough to play center... seems bigger now than 240 too...

he has like a 7'4 wing span or something like that

he is VERY skilled and coordinated... just doesnt jump high... but he has a huge wingspan so doesnt matter

Return to Orlando Magic
