Makes no sense for us to go after pg's like Lin or Collison.

Marc J. Spears ‏@SpearsNBAYahoo 54s
Raptors just completed trade the of Andrea Bargnani to the Knicks, a source told Yahoo! Sports.

And I really hope Boston signs Josh Smith.

The Clipps just lost a lot of leverage. Personally, if i were Rob, id be getting on the phone now saying the original deal of AA for Bledsoe and Butler is still alive but will be off the table in a few days. Leave it upto them to decide. We know they have no better options now

Am i missing something here? The raps are willing to send dermar for bledsoe, and not bargs. The raptors would also get a future 1st and 2nd from new york, which they can package along with derozan for bledsoe.

In the initial talk of Bledsoe to Raptors, it is reported that it is the Raptors who wants to add Bargs for bledsoe, not the clippers, but the raptors.

cant see Smith going there for a rebuild. unless Ainge has some hidden master plan to team someone else up with him and Rondo. And those 2 in a locker room, could be explosive

LAC are going to be running out of money soon. Blake/Jordan/CP3 is a costly bunch.

What are his other options? Rondo is supposedly vying for Smith since they were both high school teammates. The Pistons are believed to make an offer to Smith tonight. I'm not really sure where else he goes. Unless...

Source tells me the Hawks are hoping Howard goes to Houston if its not them, plan on offering to s&t Smith for Asik or get Asik outright.

DONE Deal: Rockets trade Thomas Robinson to the Blazers for two future second round picks, Kostas Papanikolau and Marko Todorovic. (Yahoo)[/Tweet]

If Kostas Papanikolau agrees to play in NBA, this deal is definitely a steal for Rockets.

He is an athletic, left handed forward with high 3pt percantage and he is also effective inside the paint both defensively and offensively.

For Blazers, this trade maylead to a sense of deep regret in future years....

It is appearing less and less likely that J.J. Redick will return to Milwaukee in free agency, league sources tell Y! Sports.

What if we sign Tyreke to be our PG?

Tyreke/Nelson/Moore
Oladipo/Afflalo
Harris/Harkless/Osly
BBD/Nicholson
Vucevic/O'Quinn

I'd be up for that squad if Harris and Oladipo take big steps in their outside shooting

i doubt Houston trade Asik or Lin until Howard signs a contract. then they start building around him.

teams that might want Asik - what they might offer

Portland - CJ
Oklahoma - Lamb + Adams/PJ3
Philadelphia - Turner/Thad Young
Atlanta - Josh Smith (s&t)
Toronto - Ross/Novak
New Orleans - Vasquez/Rivers/Aminu/Lopez
Miami - Chalmers/Cole
Boston - Rondo (??)

teams that might want Lin - what they might offer

Detroit - Stuckey or Calderon (s&t)
New York - Shumpert
Sacramento - Thomas

the real question would be - what kinds of players would Houston target to pair with Howard/Parsons/Harden? i'm thinking a PF like West/Smith/Millsap, and a PG that can run a tight pnr and make a good entry pass and hit the 3, like Calderon.

if we wanted to, Orlando could take both Asik and Lin off Houston's hands right now for our TPE (and for the price of DM or Jones), so they can sign any of West/Smith/Millsap outright, but they'd still need to find a PG, too.

we could then look to flip those guys for the best package of young pieces, and maybe offload BBD/Afflalo at the same time.

where did Boston get the cap space to make Smith an offer??

and that's weird that you mentioned that the Hawks were thinking of a Smith/Asik s&t. i was JUST writing that. makes a lot of sense for all parties involved. Houston would just need to find an appropriate PG from somewhere that they can swap Lin for.

I personally really want that to happen. But how legit is it in Magic front office?

i doubt it's very high on the list of possibilities. but it would depend on what we can do with Asik and Lin.

Asik + BBD to Portland for CJ + Withey?

Lin + AA to Detroit for Stuckey + KCP?

Vuc/Withey
Harris/Nicholson/KO
Harkless/Orby
Oladipo/KCP
Nelson/CJ

but... it's more likely that Houston finds direct deals for Asik and Lin that land them better returns. Asik for Smith s&t, plus Lin for Calderon s&t:

Dwight
Smith
Parsons
Harden
Calderon

that's a pretty damn tight team, that will kill you with shooting, and all of their positions 1-4 are a threat to make a pass to Howard or an open man at any given moment. dangerous team. expensive, but dangerous. (also, a team full of guys who are unlikely to really fight to win a game...)

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

honestly, i like what the pelicans are doing. if they add iggy or tyreke to that team they have a chance to be good, especially if gordon is healthy OR if they trade him for something good
