Even if we end up ditching the PG experiment and return him to being a full time SG, This will only HELP his game grow.

I don't think it's as simple as that. If you put a player at a position where he struggles, it can mess with his head and confidence. Now that may not have as big of an effect on Oladipo, it kind of depends on the player. I'm not completely against keeping him at PG for the Summer League, because in the long run it's SL. But I just think the time would be more effectively served not forcing him to play PG and have him work on the things he does well and developing that role. Hell, why don't we force Harkless to play PG? I'd like for him to develop his passing, too.

That's not true... Because MCW has been playing point all his life and is the purest passer coming out of college. That can't be true

MCW is DEF not the purest passer.

Who is then? Before last game, all he could do was pass, no one though that he'd be able to finish inside that well since he didn't in college.

Oladipo really impressed me, he started off hot and hit some shot, but once he got cold he helped the team in different ways. 5 steals is extremely impressive and really says a lot about his defense also, around the end the the game his passing looked much better and had some great assists.

Osby had a great game, showed me why we say "In Henny we trust"

O'Quinn, Harkless and Lamb all quietly had good games, and all look in better shape.

Ok I was wrong, i could give a **** about zo brown
let the Osby era commence

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

How did Osby fall that far? He played exactly like his highlights videos suggested. As far as position goes, I'd say he is like Tobias, a big SF.

Hopefully Mo continues to grow because he would be a good scrappy PF next to Vucci.

Oh OK, I thought it was whoever was winning in total score each quarter.

Lamb is a better shooting version of Keyon Dooling. I am down with that.

If nothing else, Oladipo is putting this "can't dribble" thing to rest. He can definitely bring it up court, and is good for the occasional dribble-drive. That said, his playmaking skills leave something to be desired.

Nope, each quarter is a mini-game within the game. That way if a team is down by 20, the players still have something to play for.

Honestly Burke is a better passer & Pressey is a better passer as well.

so just got back from house hunting so couldn't watch the game. Can anyone post up a recap of how the young guys did? Particular Harkless. I gather Dipo had a good day but had also some question marks.

He didn't struggle THAT much to where he is going to get shook. He played well, just was really shaky with passing and ball handling

I'm not saying he was horrible. I'm just saying he's not the answer at PG. So why waste time developing him there? He can still develop his game at SG. But forcing him to run the offense? Not only is it going to slow down his development, but when our whole offense looks sloppy and stagnant, it's going to slow everyone's development on that end.

I get that some of his passes could have been much better, but i don't get the questions regarding his ball handling. It looked fine to me.
