Now that I am thinking about it, this team was pretty much almost a .500 ballclub before BBD went down last season with JJ also on this team.

And, this team definitely seems better now. Hmm, I wonder what happens if they go on playoff push.

IF we are supposedly willing to let go of Jameer for a future 1st rounder why not this:

If trade doesn't load properly it is:

ORL trades Jameer and Moore for Granger + future 1st round.

Makes sense for Indy who gets a legit starting PG who is better than George Hill (who can now come off bench as 6th man)...or Meer can be that role, either way. They didn't even need Granger last year, and he seems injury plagues still.

We get an extra $7.5mil off of the cap next summer (Jameer would've still counted for $2mil if cut next summer), plus a late 1st rounder from Indy.

Here is a list of who I think Hedo, Meer, Afflalo, and BBD could fit with as possible trade partners:

Hedo:
Anybody looking to shed some extra cap.....maybe even Chicago...if a team takes him right before his guarantee date (in January I think)...they basically have to pay him nothing (since we have paid his guaranteed portion), and can then shed the remainder of it for cap purposes.

Meer:
Indy
OKC
San Anton?

Afflalo:
Clippers
Bulls
Lakers

BBD:
Bulls (if they have big men injury issues)
OKC (if Perk continues to be trash)

was anyone else really encouraged by nicholson's defense last game? Davis was able to get to the line but he only shot 9-23 from the field.

He's really surprised me. He didn't really show much of that in the preseason but he's clearly improved in that department so far.

Hill is a better player, but Jameer is a better PG. The main reason Pacers lost to Heat in the playoffs was because of their inability to bring the ball up the court when pressed. Seriously, it was painful to watch Pacers bringing the ball up the court, Jameer will help them tremendously in that department.

Not commenting on that trade though.
