The Dems in congress have been terrible as well, the things they are proposing are far short of what is needed. Swift action is needed and they are taking half measures and dragging their feet. There was also a coincidental ban on travel from countries in Northern Africa in late February that was considered racist. I’m just saying—it’s been a damned if you do/don’t for him. Trump should not have uttered the word “hoax” at any point, because here we are now and this is very real, but he was going to be labeled incompetent or racist or sexist or classist or a science denier no mater what he chose to do. Until we heard about free money of course.

So, I went to the store looking for TP, didn't find any so I bought Dayquill in case I do get the virus being I am out in the field out of state working around people at a research facility. Well, I was with a co-worker and we decided to have some fun. The way they get money is to generate clicks. Sadly in this country there's much more engagement if you tweet about a Trump typo than an important bill not getting passed.

Not saying he doesn't deserve criticism but the press is incredibly biased (left and right). I believe it's a symptom of media being so over-saturated in general.

But yeah personally, I don't care who is in office. If they were calling the flu a hoax/saying it's not a big deal while most of the world was taking it serious knowing damn well we have a garbage healthcare system in general, it's negligent.

Presidents are not my friends. I don't know them. It's not my job to defend their honor or their **** ups. I don't think Trump is a good person, period, and he knows he fans the flames of hatred at times. That's not a secret. He's combative to any and everyone, even his own party. And I don't think his response has been good either. I don't think Biden or Hilary is a good person either, nor do I like things Kamala Harris has done, as well as some other Dems. Basically whoever is serving the people as President (we don't serve them), I am holding to a high standard.

But that's just it, he didn't do what Trump is doing right now. We have a direct comparison, he let the medical experts take control and talk to the public. He viewed his job as cutting the red tape and provide as much assistance as he could to those medical professionals. And when it was all said and done?, he appointed a global pandemic task force in the National Security Council which Trump disbanded. So, what the hell are you talking about? I didn't need to respond, because your comments so far late in this discussion have been very illustrative to many earlier points that have been made. Partisanship is hindering the response right now, you are not helpful. Its tough when you have anti-government people that are now actually responsible for governing. There is such a thing as good government.

Yup, criticism comes with the job. If you can't take it, shouldn't have run for the position. One other thing here is, he absolutely knew what was coming. Trump just said at a very long briefing today that no one knew this was possible. It turns out the government did a mock study on this just last year. Its called Crimson Contagion.
