* Hire Troy Weaver as GM

* Hire Brian Shaw as Head Coach

* Do this trade - http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7ktq4kc

* Extend Meer for a 2 years with 12 mil over the 2nd and 3rd year, promise no trade.

* Match Ryan Anderson's offer and trade him to SAC with J-Rich for Marcus Thornton

* Don't release Redick

*Bring back Liggins

* Sign Gerald Wallace to the full MLE, 2 year deal.

* Take Kendall Marshall at 19

Nelson - Marshall - Bledsoe
Redick - Thornton - Liggins
Wallace - Hedo - QRich
Griffin - Earl - Harper
Jordan - BBD

Nelson (26) - Marshall (14) - Bledsoe (8) = 48
Redick (25) - Thornton (23) = 48
Wallace (30) - Hedo (14) - Liggins (4) = 48
Griffin (34) - Earl (8) - BBD (4) = 48
Jordan (29) - BBD (19) = 48

Here is a list of some free agents that would be cheap and could add something to the team.

1. James Anderson, Spurs::: The spurs didn't pick up Andersons option which makes him a free agent this off season. While James never really took off with the Spurs, you can still see some flashes when he gets in the game. He is a knock down shooter from the outside and is an okay slasher but he does have a tough time creating space for a shot. I don't think he will command a lot on the open market and he is still young and can get better.

2. Alonzo Gee, Cavs::: Alonzo Gee is a RFA and the Cavs will be able to match anything we offer but depending on who they draft Gee might not be retained. If the Cavs go with MKG then I see them letting Gee walk because he can't play the two. Gee is a pure slasher and driver with a shakey shot but this is what we need in Orlando. Gee ability to put the ball on the floor and drive hard to the basket would be very muched welcomed to Orlando. This really depends on the Cavs because we might be able to get him for a reasonable price if they take a wing player like MKG.

3. Damion James, Nets::: Talk about a guy who can't catch break, Damion James is exactly that. During his rookie year he broke his foot and was only limited to 25 games and this year he was limited to only 7 games after landing on Pierces foot and popping out a screw in his foot. This could be a real steal for any team because James has the potential to be a very good rotation player and solid starter. Although we haven't been able to really see what James is going to be on the court we have seen glimpse and they are pretty good. James is a rebound monster and slasher at the three and this is exactly what we need to target. James is also a very good defender who can bother people with his pesky defense and ability to block shots. I don't think James is going to cost to much because of the injuries.

4. C.J. Miles, Jazz::: I have always been of fan of Miles growing up in Texas, I got a chance to see Miles play in high school and just followed him from there. Know this pick up would be taking a big gamble because Miles is a frustrating player. C.J. has the ability to be a point forward and really likes to create for others, while also haveing the ability to get to the hole. He also has a nice jumper although it can be a little inconsistent at times but he relies more on slashing and driving then his jumper anyways. Miles has a ton of talent but just hasn't reached it yet which has made a lot of Jazz fans tired of him and a fresh start good do him some good. Miles would be a solid rotation player that could come in a create while getting to the hole. I don't think he will cost a lot because well he hasn't shown enough to warrant a lot of money

I know everyone wants to save money for next year but I don't think we can go into the season with the same type of players. I think we could be able to spend a little money and take a chance on some young wings who have had bad luck or just need a fresh start. These guys would bring something to our team that we need and want. Personally Gee and James are the two I would want the most while Anderson and Miles would be nice adds.

Maybe it's the Magic moving to hire Mitch Kupchak

I know he is not happy in LA... Jim Buss fired a bunch of his people after last season, Mitch is not going to stay in LA very long....perhaps Orlando is saying "here we'll make you team president, and pay you very well and you can hire your own people"

Kupchak wanted to hire Brian Shaw as his coach, the Buss family overrode him, and hired Mike Brown instead.

LA is a sinking ship and Kupchak doesn't want his reputation ruined, I think his time in LA is almost up

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

^I live here in Southern California and it's been a big topic of discussion. Shaw was Kupchaks guy, but Mike Brown supposedly blew away the Buss family during his interview, Kupchak favored Shaw and/or Rick Adelman....Jim Buss also fired his assistant GM and much of his scouting staff.

I believe Kupchak is a possibility, but if we interview him it is going to be kept top secret.

Is it really complicated? Dwight finds a team to take him on for a year, competes for them, books it to NJ when they cap space again in a year, while Deron opts in...

Why all the speculation?

The other possibility IMO of this "big" thing is Doc Rivers.
Boston will blow up their team after Miami beats them
Doc is unlikely to want to stay thru a rebuild

Doc brings instant credibility and respect, Orlando has been a rumored destination for KG as well.

I think Doc would make Dwight stay, after Pop he's probably the most respected coach right now

Not sure if you are serious since Williams has already said he won't opt in. In fact I believe that deadline has already passed for him to opt in. He now has to sign a long term deal with the Nets or he goes to the Mavs. There is no guarantee the Nets get Howard so the obvious choice in the eyes of every one that knows anything about basketball is he teams up with Dirk in Dallas. Not to mention he is from Texas.

Good call. Doc didn't even occur to me as a "big" thing. That would make some sense, especially since he still lives here.

Nothing related to basketball... but I finally got around to playing Gears of War on xbox live with The Real Dalic the past couple of nights... he is a beast at the game... and that is all.

Another team we should watch is Chicago. They are missing D. Rose to start the season and are aware they need to pair him with another star to go deep into playoffs.
They have some interesting assets.
Char 1st top 14 protected through 2015 then unprotected 2016, They arent making the playoffs by 2016
Draft rights to Nikola Mirotic a 27 ppg 10 rpg EuroLeague player
3 non-guaranteed contracts of Korver 5M, Brewer 4.37M and Watson 3.2M total = 12 million instant cap
Noah's cap friendly and very tradable deal
Taj Gibson

He might drop because he cannot work out yet for teams. I disagree on the speed taking over the league (Spurs). He is not a turtle and plays at his pace. His BBall IQ is very high so he can be in the right place on def and make the correct pass. How many super Athletic guys never see the court? Every year you see players that are fast and can jump labeled "raw" and very few pan out.

Bottom line he should be a lotto pick, but an injury might cause him to drop to us. At 19 it is worth a shot for a guy that clearly makes his team better. Watch Harrison Barnes with and without him.

Kupchak just said last week that he isn't leaving LA, and he just had a meeting/luncheon with Kobe late last week about roster moves. Pretty sure he's staying here.
