The moratorium is lifted tonight at 12:01am EST, which basically means teams can actually sign players at that time. All these rumored deals can become official. Offers can be given, offer sheets signed, matched, free agency, trades, etc.

Salary cap just released. Signing gets real in less than 3 hours. Everything same at last year.

being that we already seen him play with NBA competition, i'm more confident in his ability then the rookies they Rockets could potentially send to us.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXXVI Off-Season Editio
A fair trade for Howard for LA & Orl I think would be
LA Sends: Bynum, McRoberts, & option to switch 1st round picks in 2015, 2017 & if the Magic do not pick up the option they automatically get the first round pick 2019
Orlando Sends: Howard & JRich
Make the options for 2015, 2017 & 2019 where the Magic get to swap picks with LA twice or if they do not swap the pick in 2015 or 2017 that the Magic automatically get the 2019 pick.
This give LA Howard and probably a clear shot at the title for each year Kobe remains next to him. Kobe probably retires within 5 years so by the time 2015 & 2017 comes around we should be a better team and trading the pick may be worth it.
It also gives us the ability next summer to snag one top free agent.

If Houstons rookies are so great why are they trying to trade them all for Bynum?

Peter Vecsey @PeterVecsey1
My sources re Houston-Orlando-LA talks are more mum than the sound of silence leading up to Tim Duncan re-upping w/ SA.
What does that mean?

He put up very solid numbers in the 2nd half of his rookie season.

He is also on an insanely tiny contract for 3 more years. Exciting player to watch. Hometown kid. It's perfect. Typical case of lots of people not knowing about him because he played in Houston. Fantastic replacement for Hedo. I mean if we are going to "rebuild"....I'll take a guy who can put up 15-6-3 type numbers on $1mil/yr all day long.
He did my fantasy team quite nicely last year.

it's a good thing. Serious trades are rarely made public unlike that whole Nets fiasco.

Could be good, like something is really going on.
