I have more faith in moe than you. He's younggg. Also, Tobias can't start at 3 positions so he can't beat moe out on all of them. I won't dispute your numbers, but I agree with the poster who mentioned his flashes on defense.

Faried would be a horrible fit with Vuc. I like him but we would get tore up on the defensive end.

If anything moe and a pick for ibaka. At this point in our rebuild I don't know if I would bite on that either though.

To be fair, they are all young. Moe is 20. Tobias is 21. Oladipo is 21. People talk like the guy is a 17 year old fresh outta HS kid or something. It is essentially the exact same thing, look at the skill level difference between him and the other two, people act like there are years and years of basketball experience between them, they have all been playing basketball for the same amount of time.

It's a pretty safe bet that if he is that much behind them in actual basketball skill level right now, he will still be behind them 1,2,3,4 and 5 years from now, Unless Harris and Oladipo's work ethic and determination completely falls off a cliff while Moe raises his work habits to Kobe levels.

As far as Ibaka, you surely do not really believe that OKC would even remotely consider trading Serge Ibaka for Moe do you?
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

All Moe really needs to do is try to perfect his slashing game, be an efficient spot up shooter and play high energy on both ends and be disruptive defensively. That's his lane. If he can do that, he'll be valuable to any team. All this next Paul George talk is just unrealistic.

Over who? And based on what?

Over afflalo? Ok I don't like afflalo and can't wait till he's gone, but he deserves a starting spot over moe. He has proven to be a better player and should be starting over moe

Over Harris? Not a chance he deserves it over him... Harris skillset is far superior to that of moe, therefore Harris gets the nod

Big baby? See my explanation for afflalo

Based on my oppinion. Baby is injured so I would go dipo,aa,hark,Harris, Vuc.

Aa and baby are not in our future. We are not in win now mode. I understand we may want to showcase aa and baby for a trade around deadline. But I want to develop our young guys.

It has nothing to do with "win now"

Ask yourself this: is harkless our best player at ANY position?

Pg? No jameer and dipo beat him
Sg? No, afflalo and dipo beat him (as does Tobias if we really wanted to put him there)
Sf? No, Tobias beats him
Pf? No, Tobias, big baby, and possibly Nicholson beat him
C? No, vuc beats him

When all of out players are healthy, there is no reason moe should be starting. He's just not that good. Sorry to be Blount, but he's not... Everything that he supposedly "improved" in the offseason, he hasn't.

He's still shooting 21% from 3
He's averaging 12, 2, 1, 2, 1 and 2 TO in 28 minutes... Those are bench player #'s. I guess he has improved his free throw shooting from 55 to 77 and that's great and all but his per 36's are less than stellar

15 points
3 rebounds
1 assist
2.4 steals
1 block
3 turnovers

The points are up a bit, and that can probably be attributed to his free throw shooting but his rebounding has actually gotten worse than this time last year... He's just a role player, but Vaughn has this infatuation with him to the point where he's gonna bench Tobias, who is our best or second best player, just so moe will start.

I'm on the moe and the Philly pick for faried bandwagon

Oladipo
Afflalo
Harris
Faried
Vucevic

That's a playoff 5 right there...

I'm going to go ahead and say that Henny has WAY more faith in Harkless's future with us than just being a "role player". I'll come back to this quote when Moe is having a MIP type of year.

I think our best line-up is with either Harris or Dipo as our 6th man. They are our two best scorers and would present a major advantage over other teams second units.

PG Nelson
SG Afflalo
SF Harkless
PF Harris
C Vucevic

No, I doubt they would. But faried is a bad fit, reguardless.

MIP? What have you seen this preseason that suggests he will even be in the mix for that??
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

I'm a fan of his and wouldn't mind seeing him on the Magic, but I've always been a bit weary of his on-ball defense as a small PF. At the same time, I enjoy the energy, athleticism, and relentless motor he brings to the court. Thoughts?

It's stretch 4's he struggles with. Not really much to do with his size, just the fact that he never had to do it until he got to the NBA.

Who in their right mind voted for Andre Roberson? Dipo really should be able to run away with it this year, especially with Burke out awhile.

That's a classic "I can't vote for my own guy, so I'm voting for a person with no chance" vote. I'm betting it was Rob. If you look at last year, someone picked Austin Rivers.

I don't hate Harkless per say, but when he's in it's still 5 on 4 on the offensive end. Sure he occasionally slashes and gets an easy basket and sometimes he can make a corner 3, but that's the extent of his repertoire on offense. His handles are still atrocious. Because these reasons, he isn't used that much on offense and he then gets lost for stretches at a time on both ends of the floor. He has talent and he may just become the player we all hope him to be, but right now he's still really raw.

I was really looking forward of getting rid of this soon but I guess they are doing it for tax reasons. I can imagine that Rob swears Otis's name everytime Arenas's name comes up.

Gilbert Arenas' salary doesn't count on the cap, the only one feeling it is Rich Devos.

The only player owed money who is no longer around for 2014-2015 is Al Harrington at $3.8 million.

I'm saying the same thing. Moe lacks the ball-handling needed to be able to create a shot for himself.

Next summer.

It will depend on what The Magic need after any trades this season and their pick in the June Draft.

Thanks, but by that do you mean this coming summer 2014 or 2015?
