CJ McCollum's a decent consolation price though.

CJ was a really good pick. If I went with a guard at 26, I would have taken CJ before you hah.

Hah, yeah - I mean, it's all a hunch without having even seen him on the court yet, obviously, and his stats have trended downwards the last couple of years, but I don't see any reason why he couldn't be reinvigorated by a new situation and the opportunity for a more expanded role. From a Magic fan point of view I'm really hopeful that is what we see. You might have gotten a beauty of a pick right there.
