Murray can ball... I'm glad Hennigan is looking at prospects instead of 'win now' band aids.

If we can get Murray, LJC and a pick for Ibaka, I would be all over that.

Ok, Ibaka for Murray and a pick. Just sign LJC.

I've seen reports of all Orlando players being available for the right price - what's the vibe on Gordon right now? He's had a couple of seemingly break out games, but for the most part is very quiet still, though I guess role and position could be hampering him slightly.

I doubt he's going anywhere to be honest.

I'd think the same. He's what, 21, he's well and truly in the frame to rebuild around once the you move the vets. The only incentive I see for you guys to move him is if you're iffy on his development and want to get value back.

Orlando gets a young wing that can shoots lights out that has potential and locked up and a flier in Vonelh and a potential lottery pick. Crabbe could immediately start next to Gordon.

I wouldn't call Crabbe "lights out". He's too inconsistent right now. For the record, though, I am not against this trade, and like the idea of Crabbe pushing Fournier to the bench.

43% from 3pt land isn't "lights out"?

OK, so reviewing my post, you're right. 43% could be considered lights out. I guess I was confusing it with consistency. He seems to have a good game with several duds in between. That's where I meant to go with my post.

You know what would make me really, really happy come January 15th? This:

Portland: Plumlee, Crabbe + picks
Brooklyn: Lopez

then

Portland: Aminu, Meyers, Vonleh
Denver: Faried and Chandler

Blazers then?

Lillard/Turner
CJ/Turner
Chandler/Harkless
Faried/Davis
Lopez/Davis

I know...keep dreaming.

This is from their trade idea thread. I'm sure we can get a pick and Crabbe for Ibaka if they are willing to go after Lopez, Faried and Chandler types.

I think one of the primary reasons the best guy on the team is SOO available is that he plays in front of our best prospect at PF (and will cost a lot more $$$$). Certainly no guarantee that Gordon vaults to stardom at PF, but this year (at SF) he seems woefully out of position (offensively) for his skill set. He could do a lot more damage crashing the rim rather than spotting up. A young offensive-minded wing prospect (Ross, Powell, Murray, Crabbe) and a 1st round pick would make me happy.

It's a matter of opinion. Lights out to me is more about consistency than percentages, but I'm not here to fight about that. How lights out will be as the number 1 or 2 scorer on our team?

He's been consistent for the Blazers, so I don't really know why you think he's not. His numbers are simply low because of the role in plays in Portland. I can imagine his percentages would drop a ton if he's a #2 scorer. I think if any team gives him a chance to have a major featured role in an offense, he'd be a 16ppg player and would shoot around 45% FG and 40% from 3.

Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily rule all Blazer fans off of just one persons opinion, but your end conclusion is right. I do think Portland would trade Crabbe and a pick for Ibaka.

We have that guy already in Fournier. In fact, many would argue that Fournier is better and his contract is better too.

His trajectory puts him at best as a 14ppg with 20% usage and more minutes. That does not take into account how he reacts when he doesn't have 2 stars getting him open looks.

He is not a good defender. That is a huge overpay for him.

He is a better defender than Fournier and lights out shooter. His usage rate is low because POR only uses him as a spot up shooter. He can put it on the floor and is not a bad shot creator. He is a solid NBA wing that can be a starter if needed and those are harder to find these days then big men. If we find something better in the future, he can be traded. His contract is not as bad people think. Unlike some of the other awful contract plumblee, mozgof, noah, turner, crabbe can actually produce and is a good player. He would be a good fit here.

Baka_La Flame wrote:Yea Crabbe is solid and improving but again that's a generous offer. We would probably have to move Hezonja along with Ibaka for them to even consider giving up that pick. If we do pull it off I would be stoked. Imagine adding Ball/Fultz/Monk+ Bridges/Rabb :o

At this rate, Bridges is gonna be a lottery pick. Would be a steal if he fell to the 20s.

There's no way the Blazers are picking in the 20s. That pick is projected to be in the 12-16 range

In his last 10 games he has scored: 8, 23, 12, 6, 4, 5, 5, 7, 24, and 9. Isn't that inconsistent, or am I not understanding the definition of the word?

The Suns and Kings have reportedly had discussions involving a trade that would net Phoenix DeMarcus Cousins.
Phoenix is reportedly offering T.J. Warren, Alex Len, their 2017 first-round pick, and they may also include some of the Miami future first-round selections that they have in their back pocket from the Goran Dragic deal. The Kings are looking for a quality starting point guard, and with impressive freshmen Lonzo Ball of UCLA set to enter the 2017 draft, Sacramento may be able to finally secure that PG they desire with what will likely be a high lottery selection from the Suns. Phoenix would be a particularly good landing spot for DMC, as they play at the fourth-highest pace in the league, but it needs to be said that these talks occurred prior to Christmas and Sacramento hasn't had any major discussions with any other teams since announcing they intend to re-sign him. IT'S OFFICIAL! We have a shot at Demarcus Cousins so the Magic might want to try to step up before Cousins gets traded somewhere else. As long as our trade to the Kings is decent, DO IT.
