Ok. We have your prediction locked in. No more than 5 player cases the rest of way. We shall see ...

I hope you are right.
Once they're in the bubble and are initially tested. Obviously it was meant once they were in the bubble. If they remain out of the bubble, I'd say over 100.

Hopefully, these are televised. I'm so deprived, I will watch pre-season basketball 2.0.

These are "pre-season" games. Neither team will be trying to win. It is about the coaching staff assessing player status and harmony.

One thing that i don't understand, let's say we are in playoffs, and 5 players get corona from same team, are they automatically eliminated?

This might be dumbest nba season in history.

Not that much different from any other injuries. You could say Raptors title is worth nothing that way, three best players injured on the gsw team. If the bubble is done right chance for the injury should be higher than chance getting corona.

For the last three-decades or so, a players contract is protect via injury.

Many players are in-Bubble to "get paid".

Not sure what the narrative is moving forward. But Ennis and Fournier are likely to opt-in next year because millions on the table is hard to give up these days.

Look at Oladipo. Not playing he gets paid. Durant will get paid. But the Net's Wilson Chandler will not get paid.

These are not simply issues for a Family.

Let's look at Augustin: he has small children and his father in law just passed. Go Bubble and get-paid or work on family. This is a crushing question.

Well its hard for everyone. Most people doesnt have any bubble protecting them. Players wont create additional danger for their families after they are in. People who work normally risk the health of their family everyday.

yea but in theory you can be up 3-0 and get whole team suspended due isolation. Also in theory, both teams should be suspended if few players in same series catch corona.
So how da hell you will crown a champion with half of teams being eliminated via "condition "

7 out of 22 teams had to shut down training camp due testing positive... This joke of a season keeps getting more apsurd... I wonder, if Lakers are one team among ones who had to close it down, how fast would Silver call quits for a season? One or two days later?

They aren't shutting down the season, in fact they're creating a second bubble.

Teams must suit up 8 players.

What would normally happen in this circumstance is an emergency waiver to sign LLE players to get to 8 (usually G-leaguers). But how can that work here if said players are not already in the Bubble.

Frankly the NBA should have 20-30 G-leaguers in the Bubble just for this scenario.

Perhaps the league will allow two-way players to be transferred team-to-team. That solves this scenario. But this is readily identifiable.

The 25+ coronavirus-infected players will be in the bubble. They need two negative PCR tests to resume training. The whole travel plan was built around a 14-day quarantine to start this process.

I agree, I will be watching it all no doubt. But if we lose every game...I won't care because this just doesn't matter. This isn't a real season. And the champion will clearly have an asterisk even if not officially.

Well, Beal just said he's out. So even though it was almost a guarantee the Magic kept their spot in the top 8, it's pretty much guaranteed now.
