But Fultz does have a jumper... it just doesn’t extend to the 3pt line for some reason.

Saw this headline from the Ringer on Cole: "Energetic score-first point guard who at worst projects as a microwave scorer off the bench and at best can lead an offense.". At #15 and with our team makeup that is an excellent get.

I can’t. For a ‘scorer’ his percentages are garbage. We just have to hope he gets better. I’m not mad at the pick though. I’m mad at the lack of moves and focus on being playoff fodder instead of being in position to draft better talent.

But Fultz does have a jumper... it just doesn’t extend to the 3pt line for some reason.

That’s true and he can get to his spots pretty much whenever he wants. I meant from 3p range and I still have hope that he does extend to 3p range foolishly or not.

I also don’t think Weltham picking Cole means they’ve lost confidence in Fultz either.

Weltham is anything but inpatient !

I like the pick. Don’t love it, but the guys I loved for this team all literally got taken 11-14. It always seems like we are always just barely out of position to draft the players we need.

I’m interested in seeing how he can develop though, he has scoring ability but I question the efficiency. But we honestly really need some scoring off the bench, so it can work out. It was the right pick to make with what was available.

If we use this pick for PG depth behind Fultz, in the end, that's fine. Fills a hole. Didn't like Ross taking all the shots on the second team anyway. I just don't think we used this draft to fill a potential starting hole. We have so many tradeable assets and doing nothing is just infuriating.

They definitely overvalue their talent which makes sense because they probably do like this team and think this team is a small tweak or two away from being a contender :crazy:

Anyhoo... we needed a scoring mentality Guard or Wing that also has a good 3pt range... I think we just wished he was also taller and didnt on his lone NCAA year...
