Another trade in mind is trying to trade up with our own pick and the Bulls pick using Anthony/Harris and Wcj/Bamba.

With Fultz, Hampton, Harris, Ross etc' and potentially this year's pick/s we have too many guards and obviously too many centers.

If you can use these assets to get a guy with a higher ceiling you do it because we have too many B level prospects.

Fultz/Green/Isaac/Simmons/Bamba. Three long-range snipers, a pick-and-roll player and Simmons. I love it!

That is a tantalizing defensive team, no doubt.

Who are the three long-range snipers?

I could see some of those double high ball screens with Simmons, Isaac, and Bamba that we used to see with Hedo, Rashard, and Dwight.

I know you're being sarcastic but if Bamba ever becomes a starting caliber center that would be a very exciting team.

Sadly, for me, Carter is also not a starting quality Center.

Simmons just needs some humbling and for him to get serious about improvement. If these playoffs weren’t enough, a trade could also wake him up. Sending him to a losing team where he becomes a central piece could also help show him how much he needs to improve his individual game. But he might just not have that drive to get there.

Talent is talent.

The Magic lack it.

I would obviously take Ben Simmons on if the price was right.

Would it ever be right? Debatable, especially given where the Magic are right now in their rebuilding process.

But talent is talent and that trumps everything when you generally have a poor roster.

Orlando Trades: Terrance Ross & 5
Cleveland Trades:Taurean Prince & 3

Cleveland gets a vet sniper for the bench or every starter & say Kuminga.

Orlando moves up gets the guy they want and a 1 year depth piece in Prince.

I wake up from lollipop land and reality hits.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Orlando should be focused on going the OKC route and acquiring draft assets with bad contracts. I don’t think Simmons will be available for peanuts like everyone thinks even though his value is at an all time low. Could we trade for him and flip him at a higher value? Sure but I don’t know how motivated he would be learning he got traded here. He’s already mentally checked out half the time his character is a big concern especially for a young team like this.

Would magic be interested in a josh jackson and a couple 2nds for Terrance Ross?

You would get a young Jackson and a couple 2nds and Detroit would get a 3 pt shooter who is familiar with Casey and would be a solid 3 pt addition off the bench

personally...no. Ross has been a great teammate and locker room guy since he got to Orlando. He knows his role and can help the young guys. a couple of 2nd's (when Orlando already has 4 future ones owed to them) just doesnt really do anything for me. Would rather make sure the young guys are surrounded by the right people

sure, why not. I think if Ross could fetch anything more than a couple of 2nds he would have been moved at the deadline.

Or he could be kept as a future asset to make with other players. Terence is not worth peanuts around the league... Especially since he's torched everybody at least once.

I love this trade for Orlando. But I think it needs to be sweeter for the Cavs. Maybe adding the #33 this year is enough.

Do you think he wasn't shopped hard at the deadline? He's worth what teams are willing to give up, and that wasn't enough for a Magic team selling off in part to lose games. That should say everything about his value around the league.

No thank you. He’s a good vet to keep around and I’ve never like Josh. Even coming out of college.

Magic go for Jalen Green by trading with Rockets.

#5, #8, & Terrence Ross for #2

Or

#5 & Jonathan Isaac for #2

If reports are right and they want a more established player. Rockets will need to throw someone in if we’re moving Isaac. Involving a 3rd team would help make the logistics alot easier for everyone.

Also curious if we can find out if the Rockets are going for Mobley (very possible) and we can trade with the Cavs instead. Would drop the asking price in moving up and wouldn’t have to worry about moving Isaac.

I definitely think the Magic need to be on the phone with Houston and Cleveland about moving up. This franchise needs that big gun. After last night, I think the seats heating up for Weltman and Hammond. If they want to stay employed, this draft and the new coach have to produce some hope early on in this rebuild. Dropping Vucevic was a calculated risk and now it’s clearly failed.
You look confused...let me fill you in.
