The lack of handle is a one reason why I'm not sure Suggs can be a full-time every possession point guard, even though the passing and vision are good enough IMO.

He’s going to need to tighten up the handle and develop into a deadly shooter to give him enough room to operate as a full-time PG. I can’t believe we haven’t seen even a flash of offensive brilliance yet. The defense is definitely there but we need way more than that out of this pick.

We're 1/14 from 3.

That has to change.

Suggs is shockingly bad. But one good night is all he needs to start feeling good. Like Franz only needed a couple 3’s to drop to become a decent shooter again.

Let’s not sugarcoat it. His handle is no where near where it needs to be.

He's not Lillard. He never will be that type of player. He makes plays. Just be patient. He does **** that few guards do. He is playing at a frenetic pace, but he is learning. When the game starts to slow down for him, he will start to convert some of the opportunities that he creates.

Was going to say the same thing, at some point he'll have a night where it all comes together and it will start rolling. Might be 10, 20, 40 games but it'll happen.
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

For sure. I’m in no way ‘out’ or ‘down’ on the pick. He has the tools and skill to be great. He just needs a lot of work.

The team is spent. Those last two transition dunks given up feel like tired legs catching up to the Magic.

Yeah Suggs hasn’t been bad getting into the lane the last couple games. Obviously he blew by Evan all night.

He just can’t hit shots right now.

Anyone can get past a traffic cone. I expect a top 5 pick guard to get by players that move their feet.
Let's cut him.

Suggs reminds me of Lowry/Holiday/Billups...

Hopefully he'll be able to speak with Lowry after the game to see if he can get some pointers going forward.

Miami are smart. From Butler posting Cole to Bam running the floor against Bamba, they seem to know our weaknesses more than other teams have.
