Shaedon Sharpe is a kid I really liked in the draft had our luck not been so fortunate to get a top pick or we had been able to grab another top 10 pick.

He is putting up some nice games for the league leading Blazers.

You ABSOLUTELY want your rookie guard to shoot efficiently but I'm a bit wary of splits like 55/51/73 on a small sample size. Either way he is looking special. There is no doubt about it.

He definitely has the luxury of defenses focusing on Lilliard and Simmons. Still, that team has expectations and there is pressure to hit open shots when your name is called. Bravo to the young kid for being efficient early. Can he continue to mature his game as remain efficient as his role expands and defenses are forced to respect him?

I have been impressed with Sharpe. Basically a complete unknown coming in. The one thing that stands out as a negative is he is worst in the league in assist percentage at 3.1%. That is usually a quality dominated by bigs. Not a guard. I guess it is ok to be a ball stopper when you can create your own shot and shoot, but..something to keep an eye on. The next guard lowest in this category is Malik Beasley at 6.2%

Chicago plays Boston tonight and the Bucks Wednesday. They'll likely be 6-12.

We just need to keep one spot below them.

He will be a late-season addition to a contender. Good to see his fitness level is very high.

Haliburton should be MVP & MIP candidate this year.

Over last 5 games guy produced 57 assists ( around 130 points created) on mindblowing 14 turnovers.

Sacramento should be docked 3 first round picks for trading him.

I just can't stop watching that guy.

It's just mindblowing how smart he is.

And you add fact they nailed Mathurin while only being bad for one , single season.

That team is one SF/PF or C away ( could have been Ayton) away from 50 wins seasons.

Unlike many bad young teams who are only interesting due novelity of players , Pacers are interesting because they are young- and good.

Also shows how one great lead guard can make a handful of misfits look good. (Not Mathurin) ‘negative value’ guys up and down that roster looking like solid nba players…great coach too. This is the draft to find ours…also why I’d invite an overpaid, elderly, placeholder like Conley in for a year and a half of “grown up-ness” among our offensive chaos.

Pacers have the only other young core in the league that impresses me, probably because the two guards are so efficient. The other young teams seem like a mess of pieces and parts.

Sacramento just makes so many bad choices. I actually think Murray was a bad pick too. He's just so vanilla.
