These guys proved themselves last year after the atrocious start. Many, myself included, thought we'd be better off last year playing for development but these kids went out there and fought their asses off.

This. There is nothing wrong at all about getting excited and supporting your team. Actually, it's weird not to. No point in being overly cautious posting in a thread online. Whatever force runs the show behind the scenes will not be affected at all by this and neither will the W or L column.
