Looks like they'll be back to wearing the classic jerseys again tonight!

I'll take an LA split these next two games. Considering the minutes LeBron and AD got last night, we got a decent chance tonight. Bully 'em, Paolo.

So who do we christen as the new Magic Killer? If not, who breaks out of his slump first, Vincent or Reaves?

It appears no one is sitting for the Lakers.

Hopefully the Magic can take advantage of those heavy legs.

I can't even believe we're hearing about resting stars in the first week of the season. I get that the idea is to rest them BEFORE they break down, but geez...this is the first real test and will put us on the radar if we get a convincing win, IMO...Also, ideal time for Paolo to put his stamp on it. LAL are not big and Paolo is...run them over. They should have looked for a Steven Adams-type, not a Christian Wood for their frontcourt.

If they would have won last night LeBron would be resting - but they don't want to fall to 1-3.

My guess is we lose tonight, then win tomorrow. Just a hunch

The only reason we have more of a chance against the Clips over the Lakers is because the league will not allow LeBron or the Lakers to fail. The refs are why I'm pretty confident we lose both games against the Lakers. I can't wait to be done with them.

We were like 1-11 on the second night of B2Bs last season.

I hope the Lakers dont rest anyone. I hope they bring it. Its a good opportunity early in the year to see where we are.

The whole “the refs won’t allow LA to lose” stuff is really weak in my opinion.

Blaming the refs is just not it.

If we don’t win tonight, it will be harder to win on a second night if a back-to-back. Tonight is our best chance to win.

I don't think I'd blame the refs, but this Lakers team lives at the line.

What did they shoot 36 free throws last game?

Blaming refs before the game even starts is even weaker..

I’m actually looking forward to this game. Portland and Houston look bad this year imo. Good test for our guys

LAL is huge, one of the few teams that match up with us well height wise. Outside of Prince they all are about the same size as our dudes, with three 6'8+ guys coming off the bench.

I fully expect LA to take this one. The Magic can win though if Paolo and Franz both have great scoring nights, and Markelle breaks out to his best numbers of the season. I feel the defense will keep us in the game though.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

I want LA’s best. All players available. Beating them with a full roster is more valuable mentally than getting a win with dudes out. Wanna be the best you gotta beat the best

Let’s go Magic. Grow up a little bit tonight. Win while your tiny bit of success is being noticed, and act like you’ve been there before. Make me proud boys!
