I want to think that Jett, given the same opportunity, might have a similar result...Knecht would be in Osceola if Mose got a hold of his non-defending butt. #FREETHEGUNNER

I was so disappointed when the Laker chose him, that is when I stopped watching the draft, lol. I think he would have been a great fit for the Magic. But I think the Magic would have taken TDS even if Dalton was still on the board.

Yeah, I have no doubt Weltman would have taken TDS if they were both on the board too. I didn’t think Knecht had a chance of falling out of the lottery and was hoping we would take him as he kept dropping. I actually like TDS and think he’s a better overall player from a skill set position but I believe Knecht could have been the shooter we needed. We’ll see how it all plays out.

I'm not super sold on Knecht actually being good? He also turns 24 before this year's regular season ends, so I hope he's good now lmao.

Hot take...

I don't think the Magic actually need more shooters. I think they have enough capable shooters at the role player spots.

KCP: .406
Suggs: .397
Black: .394
Isaac: .375
Carter: .374
Houstan: .373
Harris: .371

Jett can shoot. TDS can shoot.

That's 9 guys who can all shoot at an above average or better clip.

The problem for the Magic is that the two starters and the 6th man who take the most shots/most threes aren't good enough shooters.

Paolo and Franz (and to a lesser extent Cole) gotta A. shoot more threes and B. make them at higher rates. Flat out.

The offense just won't ever be great until that happens.

Just my two cents...

I don't think there's really a place on the roster for a "volume shooter" at the moment. Cole already is the closest thing they have to that and everybody hates him

Paolo and Franz are gonna take up a huge number of shots and possessions.

I dont think people are dissapointed in Cole becouse he is volume shooter, but becouse he is not a shooter at all.
We can use someone who can move the ball and move without the ball like Jett. Even standing in the corner at the right time is helpful and both Franz and Paolo can make that pass. I think KCP can do that and thats why we played much better with Harris even when his volume was low
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I would love to see Jett get all of Cole’s shots. The hard part is that Cole is one of the only guys that can actually dribble in traffic on this squad.

Personally, I think the rotation needs a three point specialist more than a mid-range playmaker.

Franz and Paolo play the mid-range playmaker role already, so Cole doesn't really compliment them well.

KCP could be a three point specialist but didn't have the volume last season and it could just be what it is at this point of his career.

Suggs is too versatile to get pigeonholed into that role.

The two prospects realistically are Jett and Houstan. I'd love Jett to get into the rotation over Harris.

Trading Cole and Gary seems like it would be the best move for all parties.

Black gets to actually play point guard instead of it just saying that's his position on his NBA.com profile. Jett and TDS both get spots too.

Don’t HAVE to trade guys to get them out of the regular rotation…We’re way too deep vs strong at the top compared to contenders.

Drooling over Knecht is doubly frustrating while Jett plays in Osceola…I hope Mose makes tough decisions about playing time and true upside (like you suggest with Cole/Harris vs AB/Jett) …the way he clung to Fultz & (to a lesser extent) Mo…great guys, decent players, but kind of dead ends, in the bigger picture
