yeah that pick is too late anyway...it is somewhere around 52 making it useless for the most part.

I love Hibbert, people dog him, but he plays in a system thats very guard oriented. Orlando might be too up and down for him, thats why Thabeet might be suited better for orlando. orlando would be best suited to move up to top 10, maybe dangling redick.

my wishlist in order would be:

1. Westbrook
2. Batum
3. Collison

Bigs

1. Griffin
2. Randolph
3. Greene( but he's too soft and doesn't bang, but he's Durant-esque)

I'd steer clear of Augustine( see: jameer nelson) and im not sure i trust love in the nba, but orlando probably won't be near him unless the move up.

I don't see the Magic being able to move into the top 10 by moving Redick. Teams usually seem to want the moon to help you move up in the draft. Redick wasn't drafted in the top 10, and he hasn't played much in the NBA.

I probably shouldn't comment on this because I haven't seen CDR play a lot myself (although I've probably seen him as much as any of the college players). I did hear a commentator talking about him, though, and they said they didn't know if he would be a star in the NBA but that he is a throwback-style player, very old school about his game.

Only if SVG will play the guy they would draft. No sense paying for a second-round draft pick if the coach won't use him. And he's not using the Magic's last first- or second-round pick right now so I'd be skeptical.

I guess you are not a fan of the Milovan Rakovic trade. I for one thought it was a good move. Young guns in Europe will be locked in to a contract. A second round pick shores up rights and Europe provides a better training surface than the D-league.

Well, I wasn't opposed to the Rakovic trade because they had enough bodies then that they could afford to keep him in Europe. But I thought it became a bad trade once the deal with Darko didn't materialize because 1). they didn't have as many big bodies; and 2). Cornstein is Rakovic's agent, too, so now it could be difficult to get him signed to a contract here, too.

Unlike a year or two ago, the Magic are now in a situation where they don't have most of their team under contract for the next two or three years. Yes, they have the bulk of their core signed, but they have a lot of other holes. I just think they need someone in the draft who can at least get some NBA playing time next season and get significant time the season after that.

eric gordon?
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Eric Gordon will be this year's Brandon Roy IMO...he's excellent...but not attainable unless we make a draft day move, he will go >10 imo...

how about this kid in the second round...what do we have to lose? i mean we never draft second round talent anyways so why not take a shot at him?? could turn out to be a great player if we keep him there for another year or 2

NBA Comparison: Zoran Planinic (less athletic)

How can you be less athletic than Zoran?

Ill definetly pass and dont even know why this kid would be mentioned

Also we only have a 1st round pick

Agreed. Shan Foster, Marcus Dove, Omer Asik, Courtney Lee, DJ White. These are 2nd rounders I can get excited about.

Sure it is, but its not that hard to get another one if we see something we like. Cash or a future second rounder can get us another one.

Thompson is a good prospect...he'a a lot like a Thaddeus Young guy with a much bigger frame and even has a better stroke...

Any chance Hibbert falls to us?? I also like CDR.

Collison is good, but do we really need another undersized PG? No.

Anyone ever heard of Jason Smith? Thats who Thompson is compared to according to nbadraft.net. Looks like a decent prospect, hopefully he's better than Jason Smith.

Has anyone mentioned Chris Douglas-Roberts of Memphis?
I don't get to see much college basketball but he sounds like a player who would fit our style and team on the wings and could possibly be around when we draft. He could play a year or two off the bench behind Evans while developing into the full-time SG eventually.
