I'm glad people are finally coming to terms with the fact that Fournier is an awful waste of money.

Maybe next the Gordon crowd will come around to the fact that he is a phenomenal athlete with no true place on the basketball court.
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

I absolutely hope that the Gordon crowd will see the light of day on your point.
Fantastic athlete who gives you nothing tangible at the 3 or 4 in today's NBA.
Just run around like crazy and chuck bricks get the occasional tip in here or there. It will probably be in his 5th year that these folks stop playing the "potential card". Shawn Marion my butt....

Quite a few of his looks went in and out or he would've score 6-8 more points. Frenchie plays no defense and is tunnel vision on offense. Vooch solid as always. EP not sure if he has a drug problem or what but he it totally disengaged for weeks at a time. It's very strange. I think EP cost us the game in the crunch with his lax D on Dame. It was a 7 point swing as soon as he came into the game. He needs to demand the ball and run the offense...the Iso garbage with fournier should not be allowed if you are the Point Guard. I don't care if they get in a fist fight at practice. If EP is gonna stick in this league he needs to let go of that beta stuff or lay of whatever it is that makes him so stonerish...

Our lack of a NBA starting level PG(which is usually the leader) on the court is our biggest problem. EP wont be here past this season. He looks like he doesnt even care anymore. Looks personally checked out. With a PG heavy draft, free agents, and possible trades, that PG spot is going to be very different opening day.

When the Magic were up on the Trail Blazers, i'm thinking maybe they want to win tonight's game and not purposely lose every game left in the regular season. I would like to see us get a couple of wins in the 2nd half because if we don't win 1 game in the 2nd half, we are making the tank way too obvious. It's best to tank but try to win a couple of games and look good in the losses.

Players will never tank. They don't get excited about some rookie coming in and taking their minutes, that's just the fans. Tanking, if at all, will be done subtly by the front office. Things like playing rookies to develop them and having injured guys not rush back are usually what you see. Its never something done on the court.

If tonight's game is anything to go by, Vogel has found his big 3 in Vuc, Fournier and Ross. We can likely expect the offense to run through them to close out the season.

Bring on the L's.

I got worried there for a bit, good loss. This team will be much more entertaining next year with our top 5 pick included. We will probably still suck, but at least it'll be watchable. For some reason having Ibaka out there created such an ISO offense.

Watching Lillard's highlights now:

Lillard scored 5 points on Elfrid in the 4th.. one was the moving screen on Nurkic which Vogel got incensed about and another one where he was screened by Nurkic at the 3 point line and Vuc/Ross were at the top of the key, one of them needed to put a hand up to contest it.

But yeah, Elfrid's D... whatever fits the narrative. If the 3 points lost us the game than I'm sure everything else wasn't a huge deal. I don't care if we move on from Elfrid as starter or not, because I like the pgs in the draft.. just tired of seeing "alternative facts" on these games because of a box score or a substitution.

If anything, letting Shabazz do what he did was much worse.. and that falls on every guard that was on him.

Ross took 8 shots in the 4th quarter in his first game... lol. Matched the total shots of the next four players combined in the quarter. Will be interesting to see how he settles in here.

Wait a minute...the new guy goes 4/17 and jacks up 8 threes but it's a blame Evan night on here? Lmaoooo

The game was fun. Nurkic really manhandled Vuc early but he showed some grit at least. Obviously loved the first half. Mario hit shots! That's all I want him to do. Ross started out well...was looking to make the right play on offense and really did well feeding Vuc in the paint. Then he looked like any other athletic wing that jacks up ill-advised jumpers the rest of the game. I liked the energy though. Easily can see what kind of athlete he is. Still feel he's best served as a 6th man, but against smaller teams we can start him and let Evan play SF.

We played faster tonight with AG at the 4. Was good to see him grab 9 boards but Portland's only got one physical guy on their frontline so we'll see how we look against teams with real PF's.

ATL's another team we can play small against so I expect to see the same lineup on Saturday. This was a good loss.

Oh by the way....everyone's favorite 17 million dollar PG sat the bench and watched Ish Smith run the show again tonight for the Pistons.

Glad we didn't get Reggie Jackson and can focus on drafting our point of the future.

OrlandoDream wrote:This summer is going to be an internal blowout. I think that Elfrid and Evan are goners. Ross did not hit his shots today but he was making the right passes. I see him starting over at that SG spot. Its just one game but he is a versatile guy. Fournier is just complete garbage. That selfish poodle needs to gtfo. I see him and Elfrid being packaged for a major upgrade at the PG.

I dont want to trade Vuc. AS much crap as people give him, he is one talented C. He is underappreciated here bc we suck and losing never impresses anybody. Its going to take a big offer to get us to move our best player.

That's the PERFECT nickname for Evan... Poodle! love it!

Ibaka is a set shooter so it was not like you had to worry about him getting a ball on the line and blowing by you, or running around and being active without the ball.

Ross is dynamic. Moving off screens and always a threat to shoot or attack the basket. That is one piece that the magic really needed. They still need quite a few more.

As a Raptor fan, I hope Ross can use this opportunity to excel. But you guys are still playing him at SF (like we did with DeRozan). He's not a SF. He's a SG that can shoot d defend smaller guys.. he's also gotten better at working at creating his own shot this season.

He needs a real 3 that can body guys and guard them one on one... otherwise he'll get owned. He's not that strong of a guy for NBA SF's.

Also, I'm not hating, but don't get your hopes up on him being a T-Mac type saviour. He can score, for damn sure... he'll drop 20 (or 51) one game, then come back with a 5 point dud the next. I'm not hating on him, I'm just trying to get your guys expectations in check a little. Believe me, I'll be so happy if he kills the league, but we've seen what he does, and I just don't see him being a star level player. He does have that potential though... I'm pulling for the kid.

With all that said, I'm elated to have Ibaka. He's going to thrive with a similar (but bigger) role alongside DeRozan and Lowry that he had in OKC. He has all the open space he needs to shoot, and he has actual defenders to play with. He's an awesome 3rd option... definitely not a #1 option that you guys made him. I don't want to be mean, but you guys can't score, nor defend. You guys need to tank... and probably fire the GM.
