``So much of offense is the defense getting to determine it because they’re going to stand where they stand,’’ Clifford surmised. ``If you look at these last two games and the way (Portland and Milwaukee) have defended us, there are going to be threes there to take. I felt like we made the right plays.

``When we don’t take good shots, I’ll explain to them why. But when you watch the film from (Saturday) night, we took a lot of threes that I feel we’ll make as the season goes on,’’ Clifford said. ``If you look at our 3-point shots (from Saturday), those are shots I’d feel comfortable in saying that we’re going to make a lot of those most nights.’’

No Cliff, we won't make those shots with this roster.

I think he meant to say that... as the seasons go on, not season.

This is the board in a nutshell. Complain about the FO any time dsj has a good night - utter silence when he does not. Let's not forget that he is shooting a whopping 28% from 3 and also missed a game due to an ankle, something that caused incredible panic for you when JI sat in preseason.

Anyway same thing every day from the same negative people. Must suck to have that mindset. Can't say I can relate.

and Vice versa.Posters are coming out after DSJ and Doncic weak games but they nowhere to be seen when they got good games.

Yea you don’t want to end up like PennyToShaq, posting every Oladipo box score when he was on OKC to prove the Magic won the trade

The reality is the NBA is an 82 game season and almost every player has bad and good games, especially young players.

When the Wizards have a fire sale, what's the most you give up for Brad Beal? I'd do one of AG or Isaac and a future 1st rounder. We may have to take back a bad contract like Mahimi too though.

Was just wondering earlier if they would break it up.....if so, I think we have a legitimate shot at Wall.

I like our matchups better in these next 4 games. Hoping we can win 3 of them.

I know the season has just begun but Wall is shooting TWELVE percent from 3 through 6 games... :o

I hate Wall's mindset. I hope he remains the Wiz problem through that contract.

Beal makes 25 mil... it’ll be nearly impossible to formulate a trade that also takes back Mahinmi too.

AG, Ross, Vuc and a 1st? I would pass on that

I was a Wall fan at one point, but not anymore. The guy gets fatter every offseason.

No thx on Wall. Easily one of my least favorite players and seems like a team cancer.

And slated to make $40 million. With multiple knee surgeries. I'd stay away as well.

I don't know if they'll put Beal on the market (I wouldn't if I were them). Zach Lowe and Woj were talking about Beal having the highest value on their team on the latest Lowe Post. Beal is 25 and ace shooter and all-around good scorer. He's about to enter his prime, and we got a glimpse of Beal being the guy on a team without Wall last season. I'd have a low threshold to make a move for Beal and build around him, Bamba and one of AG or Isaac. Go into next year's free agency and hope to solve the point guard issue as well.

I'm just spitballing here.

Id easily do it. Id give them the OKC first tho or a top 10-15 protected 2021 first. Beal is a seriously underrated player. If you want to talk about a potentially elite offensive talent to add next to Bamba and Isaac he'd probably be the perfect fit among the realistic options we could trade for/sign. Add a wing in next years draft and you have a scary core of players.

Just trying to get some clarification here... You would trade Bamba and Isaac/AG for Beal? Bamba and Isaac are our core pieces. I don't think Weham even thinks twice about trading one of them.. nevermind trading both. AG and a future first are one thing but you are looking for pieces to put around Bamba and Isaac in a trade scenario not to trade them for one. We'd be much better off taking a shot at one of the elite wings in the upcoming draft imo.

I'd include AG OR Isaac in a trade; I'd keep Bamba. I honestly don't value one more than the other regarding Gordon and Isaac. Both of them have their pros and cons that we can debate til the end of time. Either way, I think acquiring Beal in a deal surrounding either AG or JI and a future pick is an upgrade for our team. Playing off the deal above from thelead, if the Wizards asked for Isaac, Vucevic, and Ross and a future pick, I wouldn't flinch.

I think on the scale of assets, Weltman/Hammond rank them like this...

1. Bamba
2. Isaac
3. 2019 1st
4. 2020 1st
5. Gordon

Gordon is definitely the most likely of the three players currently here to be traded.

Hell no. Wall and his notorious street attitude can stay away. Ill take the former Gator and FL boy Beal 10/10. Id do AG for Beal and next years first straight up. Beal is locked up for years to come and would be a perfect fit here.

We need to get Fournier off this team. He is just a cancer when he is in. Selfish, no defense, and yelling at teammates for his mistakes. I cannot wait until we move on from the Vuc and Fournier era. Cant come soon enough.
