Monday, May 3 @ Detroit is looming large.

I think we should all suit up and play that game, give the guys the night off for all their hard tanki...i mean, work.

It's shaping up pretty nicely for us on both fronts (our and Bulls). The difficult part is forcing myself to watch the games. God, the're terrible.

Agreed. Ross, MCW, Ennis Jr, WCJ, & Porter Jr being out virtually guarentee us losing out.

We shouldn’t underestimate the Pistons & Wolves both putting out some heavy pro-tanking lineups when we matchup with them however which could complicate things a lil.

Im worried about the Bulls though..they sucking so much Im afraid they will luck into the top 4 lol. Also yup we only have to suffer less than 15 games before we prepare for a life-changing moment as a Magic fan lol

LOL I meant it as a Magic fan in these boards. Totally different from our RL moments.

That's what I meant too, we've been going through this for like a decade.

The bottom 6 in a clear group of its own now, this is going to be so tight, but with the flattened odds everyone in that group has a solid shot at top 4.
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

I had a dream today that we got lucky and was awarded the #2 pick, however, the bad part was that the Bulls got #1 :(

Its good that you only felt thisnfor a decade. For me its been almost 2 decades since I went through the heart and hustle, the letdown of TD and the guessing game of *will Grant suit up tonight*.. then wheb we got hope we went through that 1-19 start with our star player wanting out just in time when our top rookie was coming in...dwightmare...wow almost 2 decades of that...

Another win for the Wizards; this one-of-the-easiest schedules is really working out for them!

Nope, been there. We never went through decade long misery like this, though Grant Hill years have been hard. I'm pretty sure this isn't recency bias talking, for any previous misery never lasted as long and we certainly had much more hope. We had enough high lottery picks to stack two teams by now, so I am not getting my hopes up for this draft to life-changing event any more than any of previous ones were.

This could play out extremely well for the Magic. Chicago is tumbling, Wash is on fire, Tor starting to play better. Say Chicago stays at 11 or 12 that means potentially two lottery picks, just gotta pray Chicago stays out of the top 4. Could be a disastrous trade for Chicago, if that happens their GM should be fired immediately.

That's not a terrible outcome as that means a Bulls team unlikely to make next year's playoffs would surrender a 2022 pick to Orlando, with an unknown effect of the 2023 pick becoming the 2024 pick (I assume).

Look: Orlando want's its pick to babe very high to have a good chance at a "franchise" player. And then the Bulls pick should eventually be a marginal starter to good rotational player. Whenever the Bulls surrender two such players, it doesn't really matter. Those picks are more about saving cap space sot he Magic can pus all-in on a big FA in the 2022 market. (players on rookie contracts are MUCH cheaper than MLE-level players).

There is old proverb from folclore in my country " don't make a grill while rebbit is still in a woods".

We need to see how last games play up, than we need to see actual lottery.
Somebody as low as 7th seed Kings have over 30% chance at leaping over to grab top 4 pick.
Raptors ( or any other team slotted at 9th worst) have 23% chance at first 4 pick.

Probably most worrisome position for 4 worst teams are indeed 5th and 6th seed, because they have huge odds of leaping over. So it will only take 1 unexpected leap ( that happend both times in since lottery reformed) to knock down all 4 horsmen of tankopolis outside their current seeding.

Everything between Wizards, Hornets, Bulls, Raptors and Pacers is up to grab. Hell, if you look at Heat schedule, they have 8 of 11 games against opponents that will aim for wins and they just lost to Atlanta without Trae and Capela
