And with the 11th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic select: Jett Howard

I know Jett is a shooter but sometimes I think the magic chose Jett because of his father’s connections to the organization.

Either our FO thinks George is just a bigger Cole ( which is a no-no due to him looking to be a fave of our coach ) or they really like to do MICH a big solid every year.

Now how we handle SGA and Giddey is just a joke. Our backcourt is ridiculously horrendous and built all wrong. It will be the downfall of this era of Magic basketball.

Giddey plays forward. Dort plays guard.

Franz>Giddey
Paolo>Jwill
Suggs>Dort
SGA>Fultz
Chet>Wendell

The second tier of the East (slots 4-10) is wide open. WAS & CHI appear to be tapping out. CHA & DET have got to hugely disappointed, but both have enough talent to “click” (like ORL did last year) and turn it around- especially CHA with Miles Bridges on deck.

A couple of subtle lineup or offensive scheme shifts could put ORL into legit home court consideration THIS season. We’ve won a couple, but our offense really is marginal, at best. That has to change or we could easily plummet. Most likely, imo…one trade, not even a blockbuster, for a 2-way backcourt leader like Brogdon (or preferably and less likely, Quickley) changes things. Franz, Paolo, Isaac frontcourt could gel and accelerate if all 3 could be counted on nightly…none have been there every night yet. If Black and/or Suggs have a revelatory offense moment, we could accelerate quickly. I’m down with the defense and buying into avoiding any offense-only guys (for now at least)…Fun time to be a fan.

*also, man is OKC fun…SGA & Chet are stars. Chet has that ferocity, the skill and size are there to support it, but the mindset is his primary asset. This is also why I’m buying on Suggs…he’s got “IT” too and it’s not like his skills are not close to enough. If you can go 5-7 from 3 or score 25 ONCE, then you’ve got it in you to perform regularly, if you’ve got the Mamba Mentality thing. I think Suggs could Pop or Flop at any moment.

Chet is basically Isaac + actual offense.

My opinion is that Houston is a mirage. Lots of home games, playing Sac twice without Fox (which is a bottom 3 team without Fox).

I think that they will be a bottom 5 team by the end of the year. The question is how long will Smith remain a starter? His FT rate is ugly. Makes one wonder how hard he is working on the court for a big man.

What the heck is going on in DET? Some solid talent up and down the roster and Monty Williams is always presumed to be a good coach...maybe both of those statements are wrong.

For one thing, he's been starting Killian Hayes who most thought should be out of the league by now. There young but they seem like they're going backwards even with Cade back...that was a good excuse last year, now they are a mystery.

Memphis Grizzlies is going to tank this season. If they can come out drafting a top pick and complement Ja Morant and Desmond Bane,
"I am going to be fine with the West"

But concerning Ja Morant, his head has to be in the game. He is the franchise player and if he is having too much fun, I do not care how talented Memphis is, they are not going to be fine with the West

Westbrook misses near FT line dunk , Dillion Brooks yells at his face" you have no bounce"

Every team needs this type of troll to make game more entertaining

Was thinking how Magic has a lot of pests/jerks/**** and it's big contrast to past teams with too many nice guys.

Joe Ingles (trash talker)
Moe W (instigator/trash talker)
Suggs (high energy physical defensive pest)
Isaac (disruptive defensive pest)
Cole (troll)
Black (noticed he's a trash talker, has like 3 techs already)

Even Paolo and Franz have a bit of edge. Only "chiller" ones seem to be Gary, Fultz and WCJ.

It's simply more entertaining to watch players who are fisty than flat liners. ( comming from guy who never reacts to anything while playing sports  )
