Well you can go over the cap to resign your own players.

Franz's max extension wouldn't kick in until the 25-26 season. Paolo's not until the 26-27 season.

So you'd only be paying all three guys for one season (26-27) and that's assuming LaVine doesn't opt out. If he does, then you're paying all three guys for 0 seasons.

I am curious with one question: Who will be the Alpha Dog on this team if we traded for LaVine?

They are the bizarro Magic.

1st in ORTG, 28th in DRTG.

(Magic are 25th in ORTG, 2nd in DRTG)
Yeah, both rebuilding teams. They've started with an offensive foundation. We've started with a defensive foundation. They seem to be a year ahead of us in development but still find themselves in the same tier though they seem to be trying to get out of it and jump one tier higher. Beating them would be very validating though.

I think the Magic will very likely lose to the Pacers. It's a bad matchup. They play super fast, they take a ton of threes, and they don't turn the ball over.

It's gonna be a hard game to win on math alone. They're likely going to attempt 10 to 15 more three pointers than the Magic.

Indy's ultimate trump card is Haliburton. Dude is playing at a legit MVP level.

I think we will need Suggs back to have a genuine shot against him. Either that, or AB steps up to the plate and gives us a huge game.

Mosley likes Cole very much. He's never not played him at any point and they resigned him to boot.

Cole has been blessed to be on a team with injury prone guards. He's played a lot of minutes out of default.

Cole had 7 assists tonight btw.

Plus have you all looked at Cole's defense tonight? Dude, he is a defender!

Good win!

I could've done without the AP article including "after blowing another 19-point lead", though. They have to get that under control. At least it also says "For the second time in three nights, Orlando held Chicago to 33 points in the first half", so it's nice to see we can still defend without Suggs.

Paolo dropped 20PPG as a rookie and has hit 2 game winners in 12 games, but he can't score by himself guys!

pepe is in his chaotic neutral era, which is amazing

Tbf, only guys with legit euro step abilities like that could do it. Otherwise it would be a tougher layup. Vuc was with him all the way except for the last part.

Injuries have helped but he’s played a lot of minutes because he’s good. When the team is fully healthy Cole still plays. Our issue is scoring and AB doesn’t help us with that currently.

Had to dip early in the 1st for a date with my wife so just caught up on the game. The turnovers and missed FTs are issues we definitely have to fix.

Swear it was deja vu how this game transpired lol. So happy for JI, he was incredible off the bench. He is a massive X factor for this team.

As previously mentioned on another thread, there r pro+ cons for that trade

But lavine could be the perfect 3 Rd option on this team, or a perfect 3 headed monster

He is entering his prime, has proven he can be a good Defender when put his mind to it, can pass the ball, shot the 3 and go to the FT line.

His contract his huge but it doesn't matter yet because we LL pay him big bucks will Franz+PB r on the cheap

Don't forget that we r likely to resign fultz and a FA this summer for a Total amount as big as we d pay for lavine

Suggs,AB, Cole
Lavine, Cole, Jett
Franz, Joe, Houstan
PB, JI,moe
Wcj, Moe, goga

That's some firepower right there
Suggs, AB, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, TDS , Jett
Franz, TDS, Panda
P5, JI, Panda, Moe
Wcj, Goga, Moe
