Didnt we just replace that department last offseason?
If so, all this injuries might be management’s precautionary directive

I get that him not getting playing is not a good look, but we will have to just wait and see.
Houston got 15.9mpg as a rookie. Howard is getting 4mpg. Coaches have reasons why they do not play players. Maybe send him down to the G-League and see how he pans out there.

Sometimes "wanting it more" is enough!

Yeah but last month we were in the thick of it in the Bucks Sixers Celtics of the world. Lol

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

We werent trying to make the play offs last season. Jett is with the g-league team and has been for a while.

There must be something he isn't doing right.

Maybe, for time being, Houstan is simply better than him?

Jett's upside is higher, but upside is smoke and mirrors until its turned into production.
Houstan is a solid bench piece. Decent team defender, has his head on a swivel, avoids boneheaded plays, works hard, stays composed. Lightning release on the jumper.
But he's not a good poa defender, hes not a playmaker by any definition of the word, hes not a movement shooter, he doesn't have (that Ive seen) a stepback or jabstep or dribble-shake set of moves to create space. He has no midrange game, he can cut but doesn't have a drive game.
Hes strictly (for now) a SF sized, relatively unathletic, feet-set C&S sniper with decent defence.
Thats a) not uncommon in the NBA and
b) not hard to defend if teams actually put effort into stopping it.
But, hes giving us a shooting threat, which we need, with more consistency than Harris and not hirting us on the defensive end. Great attitude and composure. Has scope for growth, but not likely to ever be more than a wing gunner.
Jett is also stiff-hipped and relatively unathletic, but he has a much higher chance of scoring to some degree at all three levels in the top league. He's also got a chance to be not great at anything in particular and therefore fairly replaceable. GLeague form has been shown not to be a great guide of NBA success. We'll see.
