ORL sends…WCJ, Den 25

I’m trying figure out a 3 team deal to get Mitchell.

ORL: Mitchell
BKN: WCJ + Cole + picks
CLE: Bridges

Keeps Cleveland competitive, gives Brooklyn insurance for Claxton and a scoring PG plus some rebuilding assets. Both DM and Bridges are going into their final years of their deals, so there would have to be limits on how much to give up without assurances of extensions.

Love it (and I’m sure you’re assuming this too) but not without at least a handshake and a wink about extending. Don’t know if we land in GSW-like cap hell pretty quickly tho- I’ll let Weltman sort that out.

You can absolutely count me out at that number. Too many years and too much $.
He's going to want a huge overpay to come to Orlando.

Thinking of how many guards in the league would fit in well in the starting line up... Suggs being able to defend both positions, and Paolo/Franz handling the ball means we can get a SG or PG.

It sucks that this is a weak FA market. Magic couldve been a good destination for some guard given their youth/record/capspace. You put any of the star guards into this line up (SGA, Fox, Curry, Fox, Booker, Edwards, Mitchell, Haliburton etc). They all would fit no problem. None of them are FAs and none of them are attainable for the Magic without gutting the team, but as far as star guards, there really isnt a bad fit out there.

Even if we're not looking at super-stars. Dejounte Murray, Garland, Bane, Jrue, Vassell, all are very different players that can fit on the Magic and can elevate this team big-time.

Ofcourse this also applies to lesser. Like Malcolm Brogdon, Bogdanovic, DLo etc.

Just so many options and ways to go with this. I just hope we end up with someone really good, and not another year of Fultz and Harris.

I remember Bulls fans wanted to trade him for a bag of Doritos just to get rid of him.
Well you had a hunch about him sir.

the biggest difference is that Jrue is actually still a starting caliber player. Klay can stay in San Francisco and continue to miss the playoffs.

Aren't the kings limited in how much they can offer him? Something like 4/$75 mil? I would take him at 4/$85 mil.

Totally agreed. We have assets and flexibility. Getting someone like DLo would work for now, but we can also hold our assets and wait until the next true gamechanger becomes available. Now, if we can get a guy like Murray and really think he would be our finishing piece for a contender (which you could make that argument), then you do that. If no trade is there this offseason, go and get you a Dlo or Monk, keep growing the team, develop the young players and then throw all your picks and pieces in for the player that becomes available (Doncic, Booker, Fox, etc).

I know he's not the best fit, but if the Heat blow it up I would look to trade for Jimmy as long as we can keep Suggs, Paolo, Isaac, Franz and WCJ.

PG13 is the best player available in FA. 90% chance he stays with the Clippers, but what would you guys offer him?

How can an NBA team not have a starting PG on its roster?

Welt didn't just get here. He's been here 7 years. How is this backcourt such a joke?
