BTW - If D12 is saying to his teammates "what the heck are you doing", then they are not following the game plan ...

Could be wrong, but just my conclusion.

Dwight just seems so much more somber and frustrated these days (and rightfully so)... his mood and personality is more angst, mixed with grudges now... which is good, because he'll show it on the court, and play with fury... but it's bad too, because his patience is wearing out on this team and organization... but I'm glad he called his guys out tonight

sigh... "it" is really starting to begin

idk to me its at the point where its beyond effort. All the effort in the world doesnt matter if you dont have the talent. If our guys haven't found the motivation to play hard by now then either they lack the ability to do so or they just never will.

And for those still holding on to the Randolph possibility:

@BQRMagic Evan Dunlap
Per the Memphis Commercial Appeal, Grizz believe they can extend Zach Randolph, haven't "entertained" trade offers for him.

If I was Otis I would make everyone not called Dwight available.

We CANNOT keep JRich past 3pm tomorrow. He can't play D and is gone after this year. He is our only trading chip that essentially expires tomorrow.

i don't think saying "i called Utah to ask about Deron" can be seen as a bad thing, unless you're Jameer or Arenas.

i don't really want to fan the flames for the "Fire Otis" crowd, but it really sounds like he dropped the ball on this one. i'm not saying we have a better, or necessarily comparable offer, but the fact he can say he's surprised about the trade shows he wasn't doing his job. particularly when you're talking about one of the few notable upcoming FA's.

he should have his finger on the pulse of Deron and Paul news. he should have made calls after Sloan stepped down. he should have had an idea that they were looking to make a move, and should've been preparing deals to offer them. he doesn't have to say as much, though. all he has to say is "we called Utah".

if i'm Dwight, i'm pissed.

well said...BS made a similar point you just made:

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/o ... 085.column

More shocking was that Smith conceded he was caught off guard by the transaction and said the Magic did not make an offer. Williams was disgruntled long before Jerry Sloan quit the Jazz. Usually, all GMs are like sharks in bloody water.

Smith needs to prey on another team and steal its star. If the Magic want to compete in the rising Eastern power bloc--- and perhaps assure they keep Howard --- they must try to lasso Paul, or lure Williams from the Nets.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

dwight was pissed at the energy from his teammates, and the lack of focus, so maybe that's why jameer, gay-bitch, bass, anderson got benched at different times through out the game....

i personally love the fact that he's getting angrier at his teammates and being more vocal on the court and in the locker room... more of it is welcomed... who's being fickle?

Brandan Wright AND Dan Gadzuric TO NEW JERSEY FOR Troy Murphy AND 2012 SECOND ROUNDER

http://matt-moore.blogs.cbssports.com/m ... 4/27632723

Analysis: For the Warriors, this is nothing other than a payroll move. Murphy will almost certainly be bought out Thursday with potential suitors being Boston and Miami.

Well Dwight is becoming cranky, just like people wanted. Let's see if he can really drive his team to success and push them to do their best. From an outsider's perspective it'd be pretty dang interesting... as a fan it's nervewracking... this season and maybe next is "do or die time".

Preferably it would be this season.

But yeah, I'd be loving the attitude were it not accompanied by losses and worrying about him leaving. I still think it's necessary at this point.

I'm not. I think he needs to express himself instead of just smiling.

Otis Smith says he did not make a trade offer for Deron Williams, per @JoshuaBRobbins.

that's a shame......maybe he has his eyes on somebody else? Iggy or Gerald? :dontknow:

It's been pointed out that most of the league didn't even know Deron was available, which is why the deal was able to become a shocker quite quickly.

I'm getting sad and not totally optimistic about us making a trade tomorrow.

I'm getting up early though and hoping I'm wrong though.
