So, we've suggested a noh/orl/gsw trade, a new orleans blog also suggested one. . .how does golden state feel about a similar trade?

a few teams that i think would be willing to deal with us in a 3 trade with GS:

minny: redick would be a perfect fit
SAC: would love to pair anderson with cousins. Hometown kid to increase ticket sales.
Clippers: Jrich would fill their sg spot.
Bucks: would love to send us sjax.
Utah: redick. they need shooter and would be willing to part with a big man(Millsap, favors, aljef)
Hornets: nelson and youth. kaman will be dealt

somehow, end up:

Ellis
???
Batum
Davis
Dwight

if dealt batum would go to gs in an ellis deal.

I just don't see how we are involved in such deals... if GS would want some of these players they would trade Ellis to them.

I think Otis stating at the begining of the year that Dwight wants a trade, screwed us over. Now every team knows he wants out and they are not willing to help keep him here in Orl. Otis does it again. If Otis would have kept his mouth shut, things may be differently.

actually, that's pretty good. there's so many variations of the trade to work for everyone, that my head is starting to hurt. I think the bones are good enough of a framework for something to happen.

For one, Deron never said he wouldn't want to live in Sunny Florida. Only said he likes Dallas and New Jersey.

Second, it would be extremely hard to clear enough cap room to sign Deron, but not impossible.

Can trade JRich for a 2nd round draft pick.

Can trade Meer for a 2nd Round Draft Pick

Can trade Duhon and future 1st for a 2nd rounder.

Can trade BBD for a 2nd rounder.

There would be teams out there that would take these players for a 2nd rounder. Those alone would clear enough cap room to sign Deron outright. The Meer for 2nd rounder may be the hardest to move.

You can't just trade players for draft picks unless that team has enough room under the cap to absorb the full salary basically, which almost no teams do. IND does, however. Cmon....you've been on the board long enough to know this by now haven't you? There are like fewer than 6 teams who could absorb JRich, Meer or BBD. I highly doubt you would find 4 teams willing to take those contracts. It would be more likely somebody might take one of them using a TPE they have (like the Lakers taking BBD with their TPE for example). I actually think JRich could be moved to IND. So, no, it isn't impossible, but what you seemed to be suggesting was you could just dump any of those guys to any team for a draft pick, which certainly isn't allowed.

FYI. Teams with Committed salaries for the 12/13 season:

Charlotte $43m
Cavs $41m
Mavs $41m
Nuggets $42m
Warriors $46m
Rockets $30m
Pacers $34m
Grizz $42m
T'Wolves $34m
Nets $37m
Hornets $35m
Suns $30m
Kings $40m
Raps $39m
Wizards $46m
Jazz $49m

That is 16 teams that have cap room which could absorb or partiallyl absorb the afforementioned contracts. Some of those teams could use a Big like BBD or a PG like Meer or a SG like JRich. A team like the Grizz would happily take BBD if Randolph does not appear to be able to return to form. TWolves could use JRich and I am sure some team would like a 1st rounder to go with a Defensive Backup PG in Duhon.

snooping around the Por board, it seems like Wallace may be expecting a trade. As always, their fans are saying Batum is an untouchable.

Portland has been waiting for Batum to blossom for years. They would be smart to keep Wallace and trade Batum while his value is high.

Yeah, I think Portland might need to throw in a few firsts to get that done.

Also, if we ever trade Duhon.... I wonder if he'll finally release the compromising pictures of Stan that got him consistent backup minutes these past two years.

While we're throwing out trades to help us keep Dwight, I think this may help...

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=8xvymt7

If it's not fair, we can throw in a pick for this year and 2014.

my big worry is that Portland wouldn't value Camby as a big... but he's an 11mil expiring... maybe we can throw a draft pick their way to make it work.
