Sigh. We scarcely got to dream about what may happen before that wet blanket was thrown out there. I would've been really interested in Terrence Ross about three years ago. I guess Hennigan is actively looking for our next Jeff Green.

Ross (on $10M per for two more seasons) + a first round pick for Ibaka sounds good to me if we know we want Gordon to play PF and we know we don't want to pay Ibaka a max contract.

At least Terrance ross. He has been garbage lately and would suck here. Give me Powell or send Ibaka to Houston.

Ross is not a bad player. Ross and a 1round pick is a fair deal for 3 months of Ibaka. Powell would be better ofc. I love Powell I think he's a potential all star player.

The phrasing is what bothers me. I can see taking his salary back to make a deal work, but I fail to see why you would actually want him. Ross doesn't signal rebuild. He signals resignation for this summer's free agency period. He isn't a bargain on his contract. He can shoot, but all you can do with him offensively is park him outside the 3-point line. He is one of the few players in the NBA that could actually reduce our team's free throw rate.

I'm sure that if Rob gets Powell on this trade, He will be able to save his career as a GM of Orlando.

Didn't you read it? They have league sources telling them.
Seriously though... I'm going to seize on any rumor to preemptively express my feelings about Toronto's flotsam, legitimate or not. There is a new Raptor fan here every other day asking if we'd send them Ibaka for some random crap on their roster.

My position on trade rumors is that they're all BS but I don't care and have fun with any and all of them.

Not sure if it would take that long, but 3 good off-seasons could get the Magic on track. IMO, that's gaining (and hitting on picks) and clearing space.BadMofoPimp wrote:red96 wrote:Baka_La Flame wrote:http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hssd2yu
Miami sends 2017 lottery protected first to Orlando. Hopefully they slip into the playoffs leaving us with a pick just outside of the lottery if not the pick turns into a top 5 protected pick in 2018
The Heat can't trade any of their 1st round picks until 2023.
It may take that long or longer for this team to turn around.

Done deal. Ross + Sullinger for Ibaka. We may be coerced to throw in a 2nd round pick to sweeten the pot.

Rob will send Ibaka to the Heat for a bag of chips just to see you cwy

That is just another lame duck GM doing very little while allowing the team to lose for 3 years then pray like hell to god then getting lucky in 2 out of 3 drafts. Doubt it is as easy as most people though around here thought over the last 5 years.

He is garbage. Plays no defense and only offensive game is spot up three and open dunk. Same thing that happened to Biz would happen to Ross. No longer would he have two elite guards to draw the defense . He would be played one on one all game and be exposed for his lack of talent.

Re: The Trade Thread II
Am I the only one who doesn't believe any of the Ibaka rumors and think this is simply teams throwing bs rumors out there to try to poach Ibaka from us given our current trajectory this season?
Also, am I the only one who truly wouldn't mind resigning Ibaka to a 5 yr/100m contract just to have a solid consistent vet around and offload Biyombo to highest bidder?

That's a full on treadmill move. We need a hard refresh. Not to mention, that's assuming Ibaka would want to stay, and everything we've seen says he doesn't.
