I remember when we hired Clifford, analysts were saying he is a grinder, and you will get about 4 years out of him before he burns out the players. He is getting every thing out of these guys. He needs more, otherwise we are going to end up like Charlotte, a talentless team that regresses when he has to go.
I can't wait until management finally has to give into the rebuild (like Charlotte) and we are still grinding it out and we miss out on a pick like we did with Luka/Trae. I would much rather be an OKC fan this year, at least they have something to cheer for. Presti makes these guys look like they should be GMing on a message board.

I am not sure if I should start a new thread or not but I got a change.org petition started to fire WeHam. I know it won't do anything but at least people will know there are other angry and frustrated fans who are still passionate about the team.

Signed. Would have signed 2 years ago.

Really? I'm glad he didn't do a sign and trade to the Pacers. The Celtics fans thought they were going to get Turner and Warren.

His value is at its peak right now. I would try to move him for a younger player on a rookie contract and a pick if possible.

I thought maybe WeHam would try to be proactive in improving our roster this offseason && that there was a world where keeping AG on this team would make sense, but that didn't happen. Weltman continues to kick the can down the road && I can't justify keeping AG anymore. Eternal purgatory does not interest me whatsoever.

All I have ever asked from this FO is to pick a path and stick to it. But they have refused to do it. I can't accept that as an outcome for this team. Bottom out or build a team that is at the very least a threat to get out of the first and be competitive in a semi-finals series.

This is what pisses me off the most about them.
There are definite windows in the nba for two things.

1) Trading a player while they still have value.
2) Knowing when to push your chips in.

In the years they’ve been at the helm they’ve disregarded both of those things. I refuse to believe that there are zero offers on the table that give them a different direction with the roster.

This IS the season to trade one, or both, of AG and Fournier. Why? Because Orlando aren’t players in free agency, Isaac is out for the year, we have the youth to play, next year is a much better draft, and a lot of other teams in the eastern conference just got better. Hell, I wanted them to trade AG prior to his last contract. Literally nothing would have changed and we would have gotten better value.

Trading AG to a contending team, or fringe playoff team, makes the most sense before he is on a one year expiring. If they fail to do this, I’ve lost the little confidence I had in then as being even slightly competent.

I might swap AG with Vooch. I'm a fan of Vooch. But he's 30 now and just isn't on our timeline. Unless Bamba still has lasting symptoms from COVID, we have to see what we got with the young big fella. I could still justify keeping AG depending on the offer. Of course I don't mind trading him either if need be.

Bamba has always had conditioning problems, even before Covid.

Sure, I’d love to move Vuc. His market is just much slimmer. I don’t know how many teams are looking for a 90’s era $100m Center.

I highly doubt Hawks and T wolves will win more than 32 games. No defense, chucking of "stars", best offensive players by default worst defenders.

I think Warriors could be on ugly slippery slope and end up being 25 wins team that can't defend at any position.

Still very much questionable how Memphis and Pelicans end up being. Can SVG work his magic with Lonzo, Zion?

Oh and there are Wizards. Who's starting PG didn't play basketball since 2018.

Last I checked, our over/under was 32.5 wins. The Hawks, Wizards, and Bulls are listed at 1, 2, and 3 games back respectively. We aren’t good. Everyone was so eager to proclaim success after that 42-win season, but we were clearly below average last year and this team would appear to be worse.

Looks like they're stretching Batum's contract, so the speculation he was coming here might be true.

Let get in on this star power thing...

PG13 and Zubac for Vooch and Evan?

Who says no?

This team is not making the playoffs next year. To many lower end teams in the East got better. Unbelievable how it was a 2 year run as an 8th seed to being bottom of the barrel of the east again. Smh

Batum would be a great mentor for a versatile forward like Okeke...and Gordon, if he's here.

Gordon, Fultz & Aminu for Westbrook (and a protected pick?) and we are right back in there in a much improved Eastern conference. Now and in the near future.

Vuc/Bamba/Birch Lots of interchangability at the wing spots and hope that Anthony can score at 2 spot. Fournier expiring
Isaac/Okeke/Clark could also be moved if fit doesn't work...but it could/should.

That would be great...in any of these "star" trades, I advise keeping Vuc, who'll be an All Star as second banana. Anything else puts the new star in a very weak spot, counting on Bamba and other kids to deliver now.

Why would we have to wait? Unless you're just saying like IF there was a deal they'll probably wait till then.

(not directed at you) Every offseason people on here say how we'll start making changes coming at the deadline or the next offseason and it never happens  can't wait till the WeltHam era is over.

J-Ragg, my point there was just saying that by appearances the Magic appear to be staying with same general core as it’s been, as no deals appear in the wind, so us as fans have to wait until the next flurry of activity, usually at the deadline or offseason to possibly finally see those changes. But they could stand pat till 2023 when they’re finally fired. I take your point though, we shouldn’t hold our breath for anything significant soon.
You look confused...let me fill you in.
