Just finished the game myself.

Excluding that this was a very one-sided game officiated wise, here is my stat of the game:

Four times in this game Porziņģis forced a switch where Joseph ended up guarding him.
In those four plays: Joseph held Porziņģis to 1-4 shooting. :o

Celtics are def doing a lot of complaining about our physicality. I heard a clip from Jaylen Browns presser and I think Game 4 could get really testy. My thing is we ain’t doing anything dirty. I still don’t see how either the KCP or Cole plays are dirty or flagrant fouls. But I get how they feel a way since 3 of their players have been injured in this series. Win or lose game 4 is going to be something

I felt the same way about Black relentlessly pressing & stripping Pritchard at half-court

He also had that steal and score off the inbounds that must have brought a tear to Suggs’ eye.

I swear, every topic i click it's about AB. I don't know what's so polarizing about him here.

Well you have 3 factions on here Pepe:

Psychos that think AB is our best player (Love you buddy).
Morons who claim AB is a bust and won't get a second contract.
The rest of us who are like "Why is AB talked about more than our other players combined".

But ratio of this is:
group 1: 1 person
group 2: 1-2 people
group 3: all rest of us who have to read hot takes
If he isn't constantly defended, the narrative would've been to run him out of town. I think 1/3 of the posts still want to get rid of him. How many negative posts have you made about him? 100s

90's style smash-mouth B-ball. I love it.

Carter in the presser was saying "this style is his game".

Is there a Celt without a band-aid or scar after three games? I am happy.

To be fair: Porziņģis in his presser said "its like this on both sides of the ball".

I hate that I’m feeding this s@*t but…
-I don’t think anybody is claiming he’s a bust who should be out of the league
-I feel like he really “arrived” last night- providing insane, smart defensive pressure and causing turnovers against vet champs in a playoff game
- only debate for me is positional and how much it should or shouldn’t cost when his extension comes
- my opinion is that he is a younger, longer KCP…with great poise & personality for such a young guy. Multi-position Role player, but a good one.
-maybe can eat minutes at PG when Franz & Paolo are cooking, but not the answer at that spot…can mostly play 2/3 next to guys that can score

Ideally, we get TWO scoring PGs this summer, a badass starter and a solid backup…and pair them with Suggs & AB respectively. I don’t need to see any more of KCP, Cole, Jett & Gary…I’d consider keeping Gary at $3m for deep bench or just plug in Queen.

Based on how he's developing, he's only going to get like 4 yrs $60m. That's the benefit of drafting a player who is just a little bit younger than the normal draft pick.

It would really not be that hard to come out of summer with Simons, Clayton, and Proctor. Proctor might not make the squad but he’s big and can definitely shoot. He had big scoring moments at Duke, so he’s got it in him…could do worse to have a guy like that in our deep bench. There are many other combos, but that one is an example of reshaping our backcourt quickly…add prominent roles for Suggs & AB and we turn to our frontcourt for fine tuning.

Realistically, I could only see them possibly bringing in 1 guard. Our roster is guard heavy, and we'd need to make some moves. I think they still like Harris.

Finally the defence showed up and got us the win. That third quarter D was a thing of beauty. We almost threw it away with some awful choices late (Franz, I love you, but please stop shooting so many 3s when you don't have to) but held on somehow.

Franz and Paolo carried the offense as usual, they weren't that efficient on paper, but their shots were so tough on average it was still impressive. Black was impressive off the bench apart from the fouls. KCP continues to struggle offensively, so much for championship experience, I guess, his defence was good, but we need more. Isaac was good and Wendell had a very good second half.

I get that Harris' lack of scoring is frustrating, but he is barely touching the ball on offense, he has had only 5.3 front court touches per game in this series. I thought he played great D, the level of physicality allowed in the playoffs has been quite beneficial for him, he is getting away with stuff he usually gets whistled for in the regular season, all those slaps on the ball trying to get a steal he loves to do are almost never called in the playoffs currently.

“Wouldn’t a quick-release bomber like Simons have been nice? Just the threat alone…”

And let’s not forget Simons has ridiculously deep three point range, that is a huge help for spacing the floor for Paolo, Franz, and I’ll now include AB in there because he has gotten better driving to the rim. The 3 point line is 23 ft 9 inch from the basket, Simons can stretch his defender all the way out to 30+ ft from the basket.

Things have to go out when things come in…I named 4 guards that would not be missed.

This weak dude trying to threaten a fight over a foul from little Cole Anthony that Dwight Howard got 200 times in his career with no flagrant called for him?

Hope it happens and the Magic send the Jaylen presser video to the league as evidence for his suspension.

He doesn't like it when teams play them physically like they play. The Celtics play the same way the Magic do on defense. They are both trying to stop the ball from getting up the court and deny passes. It would be a lot easier for Brown if they just left him open.

At worst, AB will be a solid backup and at best he is a starting SG or role player that can shoot 3's and play solid defense. I would sell high in a package to get a real good player.

Sportscenter just said the Celtics had more turnovers than assists for the second time this season. Both to the Magic.
