i dont see this deal getting done. warriors or magic are probably just using this to get more from the nets. didnt warriors want to do a ellis for lopez trade. Warriors are probably putting this out so they can get the nets to trade for ellis because if we get ellis dwight has a bigger chance of staying

Where did this Ellis rumor come from? I was away from my computer so I really don't know what's going on or who said it.

My limited understanding of hi
Is he's a 3 point shooter with athleticism is that correct?

Pretty good throw in if Q is on the way out

he was a great 3 point shooter last year cause people didnt know his game yet but this year hes kind of struggled once people realized he could shoot. hes not gonna bring you much offense besides 3's and his defense is not anything impressive. hes kind of like the jrich of sf's but younger

Back to the future ( Gortat contract ) but gortat is much better player.
Never D12 sign an extension only with Ellis

Big baby starter and Nelson as 6th man in jj place we are safe

We'd also get Dorell Wright, who is a better player than anyone we currently have at SF.

If it would ever happen (doubtful), I think the most important thing in all this could probably be Dwight's extension ..

If this deal would guarantee him signing an extension, Otis really has to make this deal

I think he's going to opt-out no matter what, he can make more money that way right?

Yep. He'll either opt-out and re-sign with us or opt-in and give us 1 more year.

Monta: "LOL @ Warriors thinking they can get you"
Dwight: "LOL @ Monta thinking I'm ever gonna play with him"
Monta: "LOL @ .. Wait, what?"
Dwight: "Gotta go, Deron's calling .."

I will never understand how people can dispute shipping JJ and Ryan for Monta Ellis. Anyway you look at it, GSW gets shafted in this deal by giving up an all-star caliber player for Ryan and JJ. Ryan and JJ aren't going to do anything in the playoffs. They aren't gamechangers in a playoff series, and for those saying we'll have first round exits with Ellis, you really think Ryan and JJ are taking this team past the first round? C'mon son. The Monta-Dwight duo is something to build around for years to come. Bring me some Monta.

I agree, Monta for JJ and Ryno is a great deal for us. My only argument ever against the Ellis bandwagon was saying that he is a pg. Ellis is not a pg, if you are going to play him there you need to have someone else in your lineup that can facilitate.

I don't want to give up Ryan and JJ though. I think the deal should be J-Rich, Ryan, Turk, Q for Ellis, Biedrens, and Dorrell.

We're getting rid of Turk but he's a better player than Biedrens. Ellis is good but not worth JJ, Ryan, and Turk in my opinion. Dorrell for Q is about even. Biedrens is an expensive bench warmer. The only good player is Ellis.

No one wants Jameer? Or are the Magic holding onto him cause he's Dwights buddy? We might have been able to win a championship if Dwights buddies weren't off limits in trades.

He's not signing an extension anywhere. What we want from this deal would be a public commitment to opt-out and re-sign with us after this season ends (preferable) or at least a commitment to NOT opt out and finish his current contract in Orlando, giving us a "real" offseason to try and make further improvements.
