Sounds like Houston's plan is to sign Asik, Lin to offer sheets Friday or Saturday. When that happens, the 3-day clock to match begins.

Does that mean they can't do a deal with us until that is resolved? Geez! Get it done, already!
THAT'LL BE THE DAY!

First we would be getting major cap relief the best group of young players w small or expiring contracts. We would also be getting the best possible draft picks out of the proposed deals we have heard so far. I like Bynum and know he is the best player being offered for Dwight but if its true he doesnt wanna be here i dont want to go thru this all again next year.

Welcome! I hope you don't mind being flamed on message boards. Because you will get flamed for every opinion you have. :D

Mis-quote from Denton.

Magic GM Rob Hennigan really said 'DIENER is imminent'.

Changes that equation just a bit:)

I would love to have Diener back with the Magic. Is he still playing overseas?

Good looking out, thanks.

Personally, my buddies and I started a fantasy college basketball league when the lock out started so we dove headfirst into college b-ball this year. I can say that I absolutely loved all three picks for individual, unique reasons. I think all 3 players have a great shot at outperforming their draft position. Any other year, they're top 10 talent.

Yep, and if we still think there's a log jam between our forwards, let's get a 3rd team to take 1 or 2 of them in return for picks or other players.

I live in CT and watch most Uconn games and Im a huge fan of Jeremey Lamb and think his game translates very well to the NBA level. He is more athletic than people think good size and very long reach. The best part of his game is his great jumpshot. Its not at the level of Ray Allen but it is way ahead of where a Rudy Gay' was in college. Lamb was a big reason Uconn won a national championship 2 years ago and i think the sky is the limit on him. I just hope if we do go thru w the Rockets deal that he is involved with the trade and our starting 2 gaurd for many years to come.

Im not just a Uconn homer as im not sold of Drummond as he dissapeared in NCAA tourney games with point totals of only 2 in two of our games this year. I dont believe it will be as bad a difference as R.Gay and H.Thabbeet as all Uconn fans knew Thabeet was trashand highly over-rated because of his size but i have no doubts that Lamb will be the superior NBA player to Drummond although Drummond like Thabeet was drafted before Lamb and Gay like wise.

I also dont think that the Rockets would have Amnestied Scola if they didnt think they could pull of this deal withthe Magic. Scola only makes like 7 million a year which isnt much considering he is still a good big men still in his prime years. It not like he makes 15+ million a year and w the Bulls likely to match Rockets offer they r thin in the bigman department.

In closing I am more than ready for this whole circus to be over with. I dont need Henny to rush into a bad deal just to hurry the process along but i just cant wait to c what deal we take and which players and picks we will be getting back. No matter what happens now I wont be mad as that terrible Nets deal is offthe table. Speaking of Nets deal ESPN makes me so sick. Are they in bed w the NEts or what. Dumb a** S. A. Smith goes on ESPN the other day saying he cant believe we turned down the Nets offer when anyone with half a brain could see it was the worst of all possible deals we heard the Magic have been offered. Thank godness for NBAtv so I dont have to listen to those jerks on ERSPN anymore.
Sorry for any misspelled words. Messages sent from my smart phone w a tiny touch keyboard.

That seems like a good realistic trade to me. The only problem is we'd have to many good SG's. One of Lamb, Martin, Redick would be the odd man out or trade bait.

They wouldn't be able to do the biggest deal. They've backloaded both offers and have about 10 million in offers for year one split between Asik and Lin. Word is they're working hard on a s&t with Chicago for Asik though. If they did do the trade tomorrow, they'd have 20 million or so in contracts not including K Mart, so they could absorb 38 million of ours, enough for us to keep Duhon. :)

Lamb was at one time considered a top five prospect. Is pretty lean, but has a lot of length and could develop into a really good offensive player with the right coaching. Had an inconsistent year last year but so did his whole team. He should at least be a solid defender and a good shooter at the next level.
Jones is a great prospect but isn't a traditional three. He's kind of a shorter Lamar Odom. I'd take him in a heartbeat because he's probably going to develop into at least a decent NBA player and potentially a really key glue guy. IMHO if he develops a better shot and even better handles, he can be a very productive starting three at this level.
White has a lot of talent, but some of his intangibles are tough. Apparently he has anxiety about going on planes and has had some past legal problems if I remember correctly. Overall, he's still a great prospect because it seems like he's matured some and really does have a lot of talent. But he is a tweener forward. If he can develop a better shot, he could play at the three. Otherwise, I think he'll probably be best as an undersized four sparkplug off the bench.

Flip Martin and BBD at the deadline for an upgrade at SF or C, depth or a pick.

Switch Lamb for Patterson then? But don't you guys have a lot of PFs?

I do, they were willing to give up all 3 and lowry (who would of been used to get a top 5 pick) at the draft, so i cant see why they wouldnt now

Also, if they are going all out for dwight NOW, i dont think theres anything they WOULDNT give up to get dwight at this time, especially since we cant get the euro.
