I was happy with some of Mosley's coaching decisions. LOOOOVE his "fcuk it" move and played Franz at C. Like some of the playsets we ran. Team could play more organized on offense, but they've spent most of the time practicing D. I also like that he told Cole to give the ball to Suggs.

For his Magic debut, I'd give him a B- (if we lost, would've been a C).

Forgot about Timma, he was fun to watch. Dude was like a one man European wrecking ball out there.

Suggs missed a bunch of stuff at the rim (was fouled on the game winner attempt tbh) but those were all makeable shots and he can get to his spots. I wasn't that into the long 2's he was taking out of the PNR--want to see him hit the screener more on those. Loved all of this threes.

I think Suggs is a great shooter when he has a moment to set his feet and square up but there's more variance when he has to fire it off in a closed space or under duress from a closeout--clear area for improvement.

Very happy Toronto took Barnes overall.

I liked what he brought to the game tonight...was like a stabilizing presence if that make sense...he is really slow-footed though

I watched Cole wave off Suggs in the 4th quarter when Jalen was just starting to get into a rhythm, only for Cole to recklessly drive into a contested layup (which he didn't hit rim on) and I couldn't help but think this was a sign of things to come.

Suggs is already a far better player at this stage, && I think Cole will be the last one to realize it.

Fultz might actually be a much better fit next to Suggs than I originally anticipated. I already sense some tension developing on the court between Suggs/Anthony.

He was actually way better off the dribble than when his feet were set last year in college.

Would like to see Suggs play with Wagner/Timma/Brazdiekis/Rj. Cole running the team with Suggs off ball was ugly. Let Cole handle pg with Suggs off the floor.

This is a key distinction IMO. Making shots is great, but summer league to me is a lot more about young guys showing they're capable of getting to spots and capable of putting themselves in positions to attempt a high percentage shots.

The more often a player can do that, the better off they'll be. The shots will eventually start falling provided they don't stink.

I like what I saw from Timma, but I doubt he’ll be anything in the NBA. The guy is nearly 30, built like a rock and not as agile. He is also late of defensive rotations. He might just be another dleague legend. With his character, I doubt he’ll take a 2-way contract as well. The guy lives like a rockstar.

I think Iggy has more potential to be a rotation player.

Wagner played really well to close the game. He is passive and still adjusting to the speed of the game. He showed his ability down the stretch however. If he had scored more, he wouldnt be that hated tonight. But I think he had an average game. He played really good defense down the stretch, albeit got 2 questionable calls.
I'm terms of Wagner his shot was way off tonight, he'll have to work on that. In terms of summer league overall, don't expect him to do to much, he has a glue guy type skillset and this summer league is like a glorified pick up game, with a bunch of random guys out there thrown together with little practice. His type of game doesn't excel in this format.

Yup. Wagner will develop more of an Jonathan Isaac. He wont excel in summer league nor his contributions now will be seen on box scores.

Suggs is a winner. Playing alongside Anthony is only going to piss him off.

Like I said earlier, if Fultz finds his shot, watch out. A good (doesn't need to be great) Fultz and Suggs would be a killer backcourt that will get after it.

My observations from tonight.

Jalen Suggs- I don't get ahead of myself on Summer League games but my goodness, Suggs is special. I've watched this team since the middle of the 1992-1993 Season (Yes, I'm old) and I saw some flashes of Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway tonight.

He looked great out there with his hustle, pullup shots, energy, defense, etc.

There are differences between him and Penny but The nostalgia of the flashes that I saw and just Suggs presence was special to see.

The real question will be if he plays 1 or 2 as they had him and Cole Anthony alternating for stretches on who ran the offense.

All in all, Jalen Suggs is a star.

Cole Anthony- To some on this Forum, please don't have a cow over tonight. I felt Cole Anthony was adjusting to playing off the play and some 2 tonight.

I've always felt he is a good 6th man and that will likely be his role. I take tonight as him adjusting to playing with Jalen Suggs.

Again, don't lose it over one Summer League game.

RJ Hampton- Ditto. He was adjusting as well to playing with Jalen Suggs and also playing the 3. He was better in the second half and his game will get better as his shot improves. Breath!

Frank Wagner- While I've been a critic, His shot is going to get better and I think he will settle in to backup minutes. I've always felt he would be a rotation guy and it will take some time. His progression to rotation player will not happen overnight though. If you don't like the pick, that's understandable but as fans we should want him to succeed and it was just one summer league game.

Janis Timma- His veteran presence in helping the second unit lead that comeback was evident. Is there a spot for him here? I don't know. My hope would be some team overs a 2nd rounder for his rights. It was good to finally see him play even in Summer League League after 6 years.

ignas Brazdeikis- He played well and would not mind him getting one of those Two-Way contracts.

All in all, Jalen Suggs is a star, players will learn to play with him and don't freak out over one Summer League Game.

Exciting times here in Orlando and The Magic won.

Not sure about that reference but he definitely looks like a guys that eats a large/heavy meal, smokes a cigar, and then downs a bottle of vodka right before tipoff

Yeah, he's got a good frame to build on....i'm just glad that it checked out....when i was watching detroit i thought cade is definitely not 6'8 and bouknight's frame just looks frail/small

Suggs looks like he should've been the number one overall pick so far.
