Just finished the game myself.

Excluding that this was a very one-sided game officiated wise, here is my stat of the game:

Four times in this game Porziņģis forced a switch where Joseph ended up guarding him.
In those four plays: Joseph held Porziņģis to 1-4 shooting. :o

Noticed that. Feels like we have Porzingas frustrated and thinking about that hit the previous game.

But I get how they feel a way since 3 of their players have been injured in this series. Win or lose game 4 is going to be something

90's style smash-mouth B-ball. I love it.

Carter in the presser was saying "this style is his game".

Is there a Celt without a band-aid or scar after three games? I am happy.

To be fair: Porziņģis in his presser said "its like this on both sides of the ball".

Brown said that a fight might break out. They are feeling the physicality.

The Celtics play defense the same way we do. Pritchard was complaining when AB took the ball for him, but he defends the same way. The Celtics guards are always trying to deny us from getting the ball over half court.

I think his defense a lil more than solid. He was already at a point this season one of the top three points defenders in the league. His defensive metrics are pretty impressive for a 2nd year.

Think about Dyson Daniels....I bet New Orleans regrets selling high right now.... Especially with the dejonte going down.

But we'll see what happens in the off-season. I don't EXPECT KCP to be gone by this off-season. Team play improvements ... A KCP bounce back season....Return of volume shooting suggs and his defensive prowess ... ABs continued growth and consistency ..might be something that intrigues them.

But if nothing changes in the first few months.... Changes will be needed.

In theory Gary, KCP, Cole, and Caleb all can’t get much worse than this offensively as far as shot quantity, percentage, and quality goes, so that’s a good thing right? Surely one of them has a hot game or two in them? Perhaps a road game?

Tatum complained in the post game about the 8-second Banchero call. If you watch it back, Tatum had his hand around Banchero's waist the same way Black did when they called him for a foul on Brown. So Tatum is complaining about a call that should've been a foul on him.

Caleb has done his job. He’s spreading the floor
and Boston doesn’t want him shooting which is
why his attempts are low. It’s just other guys like KCP just can’t hit open 3s.

Gary and Kenny are playing great defense, but Queen could do the same and he’d be way cheaper to hold onto. Those two need to hit shots. They’re not. Kenny today looked scared to shoot in this game which wasn’t the case in the past.

Brian Hill pointed out before the game 5 stats where we were noticeably trailing in the series that we had to win: fast break points, points off turnovers, FTMs, FTAs, and second chance points. We won all 5 of those categories in Game 3. And we won the game because we kept the 3-point gap tiny.
Can we do it again in Game 4? Possibly. Can we do it in Boston? No.
We win Game 3 with just Paolo and Franz. They’re so damn good we beat the champs with just a duo scoring.
Hopefully AB isn’t hurt, because he’s getting better each game.
I still maintain AB, Tristan, and Goga (especially if JI can’t play physically more minutes) need more minutes.

KCP and Harris combine for 52mins and 0 pts?

I get the "guard" part but what happened to the "shooting"

Don't forget Fournier and Afflalo.

Complete opposite. Those bums wanted the shooting part and not the guard part

Does anyone have or can make a video compilation of the 3 flagrant fouls so far?? Would love to share that with my Celtic friends

Franz needs to stop giving them weak and 1s. When Franz gets beat, he always gives them a little shove. We foul a lot, but most of them are just weak, stupid fouls.

I'm impressed we bounced back from that 17-6 run early in the first. I felt completely despondent. The 10-0 run in response was HUGE. AB with 3 points, a rebound, and 2 steals during that 10-0 run.

Celtics with another huge 17-5 run in the 4th but we survived.

Rotations absolutely sucked though, Mosley needs to get a better game plan together in general.

Boston had a 14-0 run in the second quarter. Which we matched with a 14-0 run in the third.

The coaching staff not recognizing that the rotations needed changing for Game 3 doesn’t give me hope that we’ll see anything different for Game 4.
Hope I’m wrong.
But Mosley playing Cole with CoJo in the backcourt was suicide. That can never happen.

If the magic stop killing themselves with the self inflicted wounds (just like the series vas Cleveland) they could extend the history series to 7 games. But it's just about how they can figure out to hit open 3s, how to control the glass better, less fouling, making free throws, etc. They figure that out it's a series.

Man i really wish we still had Suggs and Moe.....they both would thrive in this environment....both of them play with energy and Moe especially likes to get spicy, he seems to always be ready to mix it up....especially in a chippy series like this? i could see him flexing after a big play getting the crowd hype......injuries suck man

He looked A LOT like Alex Caruso last night to me. Which doesn't mean he ends on that outcome because he is still growing, but that is a nice fall back. Championship level role player. Defensive potential is insanely high, great at applying ball pressure, terrific shot contester.

If you think there is overlap with Suggs and that it is going to be hard to pay AB in the future while adding a scoring guard I could see argument for trading him, but only in a package for a really good player. I personally would be very sad, I do not want to trade him. But as an AB fan if he went somewhere where he was guaranteed 32 minutes a game it would give me something else to watch at least.

I hate that I’m feeding this s@*t but…
-I don’t think anybody is claiming he’s a bust who should be out of the league
-I feel like he really “arrived” last night- providing insane, smart defensive pressure and causing turnovers against vet champs in a playoff game
- only debate for me is positional and how much it should or shouldn’t cost when his extension comes
- my opinion is that he is a younger, longer KCP…with great poise & personality for such a young guy. Multi-position Role player, but a good one.
-maybe can eat minutes at PG when Franz & Paolo are cooking, but not the answer at that spot…can mostly play 2/3 next to guys that can score

Ideally, we get TWO scoring PGs this summer, a badass starter and a solid backup…and pair them with Suggs & AB respectively. I don’t need to see any more of KCP, Cole, Jett & Gary…I’d consider keeping Gary at $3m for deep bench or just plug in Queen.
Based on how he's developing, he's only going to get like 4 yrs $60m. That's the benefit of drafting a player who is just a little bit younger than the normal draft pick.

The obsession with age is yet another false start that you're ready to tattoo on your arm...there are plenty of good young guys that get paid. You're basically saying "good thing we spent a high pick on a raw child whose development has been disappointing - so he won't cost much"
