First of all, aside from Bane, we still boast more continuity than nearly any team in the NBA. And wasn't last season, and its associated struggles, character building? Nah, not interested.

I don't think it's copium but it's funny how many people give up 3-4 games into a season. It's going to be a long ass season. As much as we have made self inflicted mistakes and could easily be 0-4, we could also be 3-1, or even 4-0 if not for stupid mistakes or inability to shoot shots or play the worst defense imaginable. We hadn't let over 130 points for a long ass time.

Against this level of competition with the injuries occurring to these teams though, we should definitely be 3-1. Somehow I liked our chances with Porzingis/Embiid healthy instead of their backups owning us.

The Ibaka/Biyombo team was significantly worse on the eye. Not that this is good right now but we are not a 25% win team in terms of talent. They will eventually figure some things out but may take too long.

Nothing I have seen outside of Suggs leads me to believe they will figure it out. Paolo still chucking, Bane forgot his one skill, and Franz too afraid to be the king.

Josh Green would be my perfect trade target for Isaac. Charlotte has Kneuppel and Sexton at SG now. Green makes $13.7m, and Isaac makes $15m. Charlotte needs another big.

That would give us enough to sign a 15th man, and Green could take Tyus' minutes in the rotation.

Either way Mosely is exposing himself as being unable to have a competent offense and I cant see him being here long term.

I'd rather just try to get out of Isaac's contract if we can without a grievance. I assumed they were putting him for short stints because they don't ethically want to do that to him unless he is actually hurt, but then he didn't play today so IDK.

First game of the season I've watched. Id been reading that we didn't look right. Not on here but elsewhere. Free throws were the first thing I noticed. Just Ugly. Then turnovers. Just too loose with the rock. No snap to the movement. What happened to our defense? I saw a glimpse of it late in the 4th. Team effort stink up. Been a fan for 30 odd years. Serious lack of effort and our starters look lethargic. Its pretty simple to me. Bring back the defense, Protect the rock and hit your free throws. If the offense is going to find itself it has to start there. Also we need a starting center to clean up when the opposing team blows by us. I like Goga and Carter but they are both good backups. Of the two id start Goga. At least he hustles between bone head plays.

We have gotten worse over the last year and 4 games, what makes you think we just magically turn it around without major changes?

They'll figure it out... Just to give some perspective

The Pacers were 9-11 in the first 20 games of the season last year. With fans calling Haliburton a fake Star.

Lets be fair here. Rick Carlisle has taken 2 teams to the finals and won a ring as both a player and coach. Mose has never coached a team that has won a playoff series.

The Suns SSOL team with Nash started 0-4 and won like 57 games. The process Sixers starred hot and beat the Heatles then ended up in the lottery. Its a long season. I have seen some signs despite the poor play but I do think its going to take a while, i even said this right after we beat the Heat. This is going to be a process, frustrating along the way, they will sort some things out eventually.

And to be fair Mose has taken this team to the playoffs twice in back to back seasons.

To think this team with the most talent since the Dwight Era will just not win more than 49-50 games doesn't seem likely.

Its not even a situation where the team looks like they're maxed out they're just all out of sorts, tired, and dont have chemistry and trying to find themselves 4 games in.

Thats why I find it sort of ridiculous.

Tonight was statistically the Magic's worst defensive performance since March 15, 2022. That was Mosley's first season with the team.

This team is too talented to be so offensively challenged as they’ve been these last 3 games. I like our roster. I predict Coach Mose will have the first 20 games to have this figured out. If by chance some misfortune not due to injuries we are under .500 come those 20 games, I see no way front office doesn’t make a coaching change.

Ownership has also invested heavily this past offseason to be trotting out a mediocre product.

Pro ball players being tired 4 games into the season is Diabolical.
