Where did this Ellis rumor come from? I was away from my computer so I really don't know what's going on or who said it.

Rudolph reported it.

And this was the rumor YBR from TBN was eluding to over the weekend. He said something was close minutes before before Rudolph made his tweets.

I agree, Monta for JJ and Ryno is a great deal for us. My only argument ever against the Ellis bandwagon was saying that he is a pg. Ellis is not a pg, if you are going to play him there you need to have someone else in your lineup that can facilitate.

I personally think he could do it. but, it sucks that we'd lose Hedo's playmaking, just in case Ellis making plays doesn't work.

The hate for Anderson and Redick by some people in this thread is hilarious to say the least. All they do every night is give the Magic everything they have, while also putting up some damn good numbers along the way.

I don't think anyone is hating on Redick or Ryan just because several of us want to see us attain Monta Ellis.

I like Redick and Ryan, they are my favorite players on the team by far. But I have to put aside my favoritism, and look at it objectively... Redick and Ryan gives it their all, and they put up good numbers... but they are replaceable pieces. Monta Ellis is a legit star (and that's my honest opinion, I know others think he isn't, but that's debatable as well), and Dwight has gone on the record saying "Monta" is one of the few guys he wants on this team in order to help him out. Dwight hasn't played with an explosive player in the back-court for his whole career (and Steve Francis doesn't count, because Dwight wasn't developed yet).

It's not hate people just get mad because the rest of us know he's nothing more than a good role player.

I'm sorry but Anderson is way too overvalued on our board. I love the guy but lets all take a step back and remember he shoots the three ball and grabs offensive boards and that's it. He can't score on his own. He can't defend most 4's. He's not a great defensive rebounder. He can't block shots.

Whats so funny here? Thats a spot on description. Everytime you bring up that he cant create offense or that hes a poor defender you either get a bunch of laughing smiley's or his "historic "efficiency stats...but the reality is if we play the Hawks in the first round right now, we'd probablly lose despite all his "greatness". Now monta doest gurantee anything but if keeps Howard here Anderson is expendable. as is JJ. because Dwight >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everyone on this roster.

I don't want to give up Ryan and JJ though. I think the deal should be J-Rich, Ryan, Turk, Q for Ellis, Biedrens, and Dorrell.

We're getting rid of Turk but he's a better player than Biedrens. Ellis is good but not worth JJ, Ryan, and Turk in my opinion. Dorrell for Q is about even. Biedrens is an expensive bench warmer. The only good player is Ellis.

Beidrins is a legitimate backup center, something we lack. Wright is a fair player mid-range out. Ellis is the player that can slash, push the ball, and raise the tempo, not quite an all-star, but close.

The other player we get to keep in this deal is Dwight. Some people seem to forget that getting Ellis means keeping Dwight on the team.

Nothing is happening until it happens. From what I've seen, Magic and Hornets have agreed and are just waiting for GS to accept. Orlando wants to make this happen today and Dwight has chatted with Ellis today.

Also, Magic FO talked about re-aquiring CLEE. FWIW

YBR first, Rudolph minutes later. YBR supposedly talks to Dwight directly.

YBR's source is appearently Dwight himself. Also, YBR first reported it was a Magic/Warriors/Hornets deal, then Rudolph said the same thing later.

Unless you're talking about the intercepted lobs to Dwight or maybe even the driving layup that bounces back out to midcourt.
