I think I have gotten more enjoyment from these threads than the magic season.

Christian Bruey ‏ @cbruey
Now have it from multiple sources that he told his teammates that he will opt in for the final year of his contract but has not filed papers

Man, this dude had better be right...

2013 Orlando Magic
Monta
JJ
JSmoove
Ryan
Dwight

That team would be WAYYY better with Iggy instead of josh. iggy is a better defender and shoots better then josh. also he guards sf' and sg's better where josh is really a pf and with ryan it wouldnt work well. also iggy is an amazing passer and would be much like hedo in that sense

Why don't we go for Iggy AND Smoove along with Ellis? :D

Can he actually opt at this point or would he just be promising to opt in at the end of the season? You know, hypothetically, if any of this were true

I think he can, didn't Paul do it during the middle of this season?

If Bruey is right, I will follow him on Twitter and put up with his nonsense tweets for the next year.

Well looking at hoopshype right now, we'd have Dwight, Nelson and JJ all come off the books next season (assuming Dwight opts in). About 34 million off. If we could shed JRich, Duhon and Davis, we'd would be looking pretty good in 2013 from a financial standpoint.

I think you can just remove your opt out clause or ****. Actually I have no idea.

To make it completely official, he'd have to remove the early opt out clause from his contract. Technically, he wouldn't opt in, he just wouldn't opt out.
