Because not having a jumpshot means you aren't an NBA player. Lets forget the 5rbs, 1blk and 1stl in 20 minutes. Also more hustle, energy than any of the starters. If the best Earl can be is Jared Jeffries, that is still valuable player.

The guy is completely lost on the court, he runs in circles, his learning curve is very slow, he's a big man with a fg% of 39, he's regressed from last year, he has no offensive game, he can make the occasional good play on defense and shows potential every once in awhile, but he's still a major project, talented in some areas, needs work, a lot, might be better suited for a non structured system, but having him in Stan's structure might benefit him the most in the long run

the regression could be the fact that he gets rare playing time at all. he might not know what to expect. He could go out, not shoot a single shot, provide defense, energy and rebounding, be a good spark plug, and not see the floor again for 20 games.

I am sure if Earl got consistent minutes he'd eventually know what to do offensively and find a groove. Gortat looked lost and dumb at first, too.

And last night I thought he made a few good passes. He still can't put the ball in the basket, but at least he showed something.

Gortat contributed almost right away, yea he was lost at times but the results were there, he looked like an nba player, it just shows my point that earl is a slow learner, he's talented just very slow

Earl does seem dumb. I don't know why he's trying to shoot long jumpers. If he's smart, then he'll focus on his defense and offense in the post. Once he do that, he'll get consistent minutes; and then he can expand his game if he really want to.

Please Clark, play smarter and be our backup C!
