Based on what??

Just my opinion. Watching him play his "It's easy" slogan. Of course I could be 100% wong, but what is Gambino basing his "next Kevin Durant" tag on? I think he's very skilled but it seems he's lost a little of what made him good following that surgery, low jump shot not very explosive, his defense is sub par. sometimes, imo, people become fixated on his pretty handles for a 6'10 guy and I just think there's more to it than that.

Dude. My bad, i thought that comment you made was for Jeff Taylor. Thats why i was like where the heck did that come from???

I like these ones CG.

Beautiful shooting display and post moves.

Nice display of his handle and explosiveness. So fluid. Not sure if this is before or after his ACL injury.

I'm telling you people....poor man's kevin durant....don't care what anyone says....i'm not saying he is Durant but i see that kind of skillset....1 on 1 ability.....sick handles....decent shot....creator.......length....only 19 years old so the sky's the limit....how can he not be a good draft choice at pick 19?.....Hell he's 19 years old.....we have the 19th pick.....huh....  seems like it's meant to be lol....

After reading a couple profiles on Miller and watching a couple clips, I'm on the Miller bandwagon until draft time. He has the height to play NBA Wing and the shooting/athleticism to seriously make an impact for our roster with Hedo aging. I'd rather move up to ~15th pick now to help ensure Miller falls to us, and do some serious talking/spying to get a vibe of the 9-14 pick teams' draft boards to make sure Miller is there. The good backup 1B pick is Marshall if Miller is gone at 15.
The Magic should definitely utilize a very discrete "shut it down Miller, dont work out or show up anywhere else and we'll pick you at 15/19."
The only bad things is his low, slow release and he doesn't seem a great off the dribble player yet but his height would literally alleviate that in NBA matchups and he's only 19. He still played a serious go-to scorer many times for Baylor. And for us initially, he has a great set shot from 3 range and the length/athleticism to be a defender too, until he slowly grows his NBA offense fully (a la Harden who learned his NBA game a little slow that first year IMO).

I think after the past few days of watching some Iowa state games and Baylor it is clear to me now that I want Royce over Quincy. They still are my top two choices but right now Royce has edged over Quincy for me.

we'd be bugging if we take Arnett....nothing against him as a player but we don't need him....it's already a logjam at the 4 spot.....

Miller at 19 and Machado at 49 are absolute steals of the draft. Im totally envisioning Lindsey/Weaver going these two and in one fell swoop, we addressed SF and backup PG which were holes last season. Miller/Machado got the handles like Turk and Duhon but with more potential for the new coach to groom. We really need that height and athleticism advantage again, it's where the league is going.

I'm going to have to agree with you on this... I not looking forward to drafting any PFs... we have enough imo.

If we got one of the Thunder Ast GMs then I think they would see Miller as Durant-lite.

But if we got Penn, I think he would take Leonard Meyers. He was absolutely gushing over that guy during the combine and noted him as his choice for the player that impressed him most. That scares me enough to not want Penn as our Gm.

If the Magic take Leonard at #19, that will tell us where their thinking is on Dwight. If Leonard is available when we pick at #19, and we draft him, you can be pretty sure Dwight is gone. Regardless of what Dwight does, I would prefer we get some back court help. When does Nelson have to make his intentions known by?

I like Hummel in the 2nd round. The kid can shoot and unlike Anderson, he can play defense. Only concern is his knees.

Didn't Wroten help his stock at the combine? How does he fall in that mock draft?

Just cause he shot poorly for like 20 shots doesn't mean he should fall that far. HE measured at 6'6 and I heard he recorded the fastest sprint time so if anything he should move up the mock drafts.

People focus on negatives too much, so each draft you have players slide to, ah, San Antonio and OKC? ;)

i would think if he got the job he would take our team needs into account at 19.......plus i'm hearing Leonard goes lottery
