People trying to defend this trade, you are making yourselves look infinitely stupid. Just stop right now. Step out of your **** Magic bubble and listen to the rest of the world laugh at you.

Instead of rookies, we get them in the form of draft picks. We get Harkless, who most of us liked leading up to the draft. Vujevic was promising in spurts last year. Afflalo is a good player. We dump J-rich.

This is far and away better than letting him walk. Far and away better than trading for veterans and being mediocre.

It's not our dream deal, certainly, but I think the level of freak out in here is unwarranted.

That is what gets me Affalo contract is longer than JRICH so if we are looking to shed salary why bring in more salary.

That's what I meant. Kobe was drafted by the hornets knowing they were going to trade him to LA

The great youth of someone who will be 27 years old when the season starts and has a bad contract.

And by the time we're ready to contend again will be 32 years old and playing somewhere else.

Well Afflalo is actually a good player. He also happens to be on the right side of 30. He's a positive asset rather than a negative one.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

who cares that he was picked for the lakers. for all practical purposes he was a Hornet that got traded for starting center. sure marc was picked by them but he never played for them at all so they dont deserve credit for him being in a good starter. kobe sure ill give them some credit for screwing the hornets with Vlade for Kobe

This trade is garbage for us. Not sure how people can try and convince themselves that this is good.

Look at the talent Denver got for Melo.

Look at what the Hornets got for CP3.

Now compare that to what we are reportedly getting for Dwight. How you can come away satisfied is completely insane.

This. Affalo is just a role player, and not worth taking on with the number of years on his deal. Just terrible.

People step back from the ledge. We are very flexable for the next couple years and for once every single asset on the team is tradable. We have 4 young (cheap) bigs, dump J.Rich, get more athletic at SG/SF.

I wont believe this until there is press conference because there have been so many bogus "reports". In the other hand, we dont want to add salary, we are tanking and adding salary plus a talent like Bynum or Gasol does not help that tasks. We want: multiple draft picks, young players with upside, cap space, hard core tank job. Hope we can accomplish that.
