You have to think about this as a horrible and devastating business decision. Magic lost Shaq to Lakers. Lost many fans. Then, Magic gift wrap Dwight to Lakers for garbage. Yes, this is garbage in comparison to what Hornets/Nuggets got for Paul/Melo.

How does Devos and the Magic organization even sleep at night? Are they complete idiots?!?!?!

I am glad I am a Heat fan also. Because, at least that is a class organization all their players are loyal.

The comparisons to the Paul/Melo situations need to stop. All throughout their sagas, those two never made it clear that they would only stick around with 3, no wait 2, no wait 1 team. The Hornets and the Nuggets were probably getting calls from all around the league to use as phony leverage. Sure Melo/CP3 must have had their personal preferences that they may or may not have hinted at, but they never were seen on camera during training camp confirming a 3-team wishlist, then drag their team through PR hell throughout the following season.

With that said, of course we received "garbage" in return.

We let Ryan Anderson go because of his hefty price-tag, but we later trade for Aaron Afflalo and Al Harrignton $ 37 millions combined in future salary(not even counting Harrignton guaranteed money in the last two years of his contract)

We let Anderson go because he wouldn't have Dwight by his side.

Anderson IMO has value around the league, he is 24 years old and the Most Improved Player; meanwhile Al Harrignton and Afflalo have plateaued.

Sure its bad, but it doesn't matter...at all. Rob knew this when he signed him.

There is a difference. Destroying any integrity, respect and loyalty from the remaining fans of the Orlando Magic by giving away Dwight to the Lakers is about as low and stupid of a business decision can get. Rob couldn't have made this decision. I doubt Devos truly wanted to deal with the Lakers. Martin had to be forced to deal with the Lakers. Thus, I blame David Stern. And, as we all know, money talks. Devos better of gotten hundreds of millions from the NBA to make this sort of stupid decision to make up for lost revenue and many years of losing money from playing to an empty arena. I can't imagine many Magic fans paying to support a franchise that would make this type of trade with the Lakers.

I would take Brooke and Brooks over this deal.

The difference is that the Magic received garbage while giving Dwight to the Lakers which will alienate the entire Magic fanbase and makes the Magic appear to be the most ignorant franchise in all of the NBA.
